Alison Philipson-Literacy

Alison is a Literacy and Assessment Consultant with extensive primary school experience which includes classroom practice across the primary age range, Literacy leadership, leading teacher status, LA Literacy consultancy and responsibility for statutory assessment within the local authority. AP Literacy offers Literacy CPD across the primary age range, including planning and assessing from the new curriculum - reading, writing, grammar, punctuation, spelling and phonics - and in pedagogies such as quality first teaching, modelled/shared/guided writing and guided reading. CPD will be tailored to your school's particular context and can be whole school training,work in small groups, lesson study, or leadership support. Ben Chalcraft

Ben has over 15 years of experience as a Technician including 5 years as the Lead Technician at a local City Learning Centre. Ben was seconded to the Curriculum Innovation Service for 2 years before being employed in his present role as Technician and Media Development Officer in 2013. His technical role also includes specialist knowledge of configuring, deploying and managing iPads and Chromebooks. His media portfolio includes laser etching, large format image design and printing. He specialises in the recording and editing of digital fi lm and has produced many videos / short films for schools over the last few years showcasing the impact of a range of projects and initiatives.

Claire Holt

Claire is an independent consultant specialising in science, curriculum, learning outdoors and coaching for leadership. She loves inspiring and supporting people to make a difference. Claire has been a teacher in various primary schools and held a number of middle/senior leader roles. Most recently, Claire worked for Bradford LA as a primary consultant. She now runs ‘Teaching from the Heart' (www.teachingfromtheheart.co.uk) and is seeking to put the humanity back into education.

Jo Dean

Jo joined Bradford Council in 2000 working on the Education ICT Helpdesk. She joined the Bradford Learning Network team in 2002 and was involved in the first procurement of the BLN. She became a registered Prince2 Practitioner in 2006 and is the BLN Project Manager.

Mark Hattersley

Mark has had eight years experience running successful CPD - seven of these whilst working as a Primary Mathematics consultant for Bradford Council and one year under the name - Totally Maths. He is a PD Lead with the NCETM and also a trainer for Maths No Problem. Paul Scott

Paul has over 18 years of primary school teaching experience both in the UK and abroad. His role involves working strategically with local, regional and national organisations ensuring the service's provision continually evolves to meet the needs of all partners. He is passionate about utilising technologies allowing pupils to become engaged and independent lifelong learners. Paul is a qualified Online Safety Mark Assessor, CEOP Ambassador, Childnet Trainer and Into Film CPD Practitioner. He is known nationally for his work with Digital Leaders through the very successful Bradford Digital Leader Academy Programme.

Sarah Hawkins

Sarah joined the team in April 2010 as the Finance Officer for the Curriculum Innovation Service. Prior to this she performed an administrative role in a local primary school. Sarah also has responsibility for co-ordinating day to day communications and supporting the team with the organisation of our many ICT / computing events and subscription services.

Tim Bleazard

Tim has over 20 years of experience as a Primary Teacher, 12 of them as an ICT Subject Leader and joined the team as a Curriculum Innovation Consultant in 2012. Tim is a qualified Online Safety Mark Assessor, CEOP Ambassador, Apple Professional Development Authorised Trainer, Into Film CPD Practitioner and a Google Certified Teacher. Tim manages and delivers our very successful Film Literacy Provision and has worked regionally and nationally with schools to manage and deploy whole school Chromebook projects. He developed our very popular Learning with Learners provision.
