THOMAS AUTOMOTIVE

The business was originally opened as Torringford Automotive and was located at 1795 East Main Street in Torrington. (The site of the new Taco Bell, across from the Walmart Plaza.) It was opened in the Mobil station owned by Ron Clifford and operated there until July of 1995. We relocated to 592 Main Street and changed the name to Thomas Automotive since we were no longer in the Torringford area. We operated on Main Street until September, 2003 when the building was sold, torn down and replaced by AutoZone. We moved to our present location at 54 Brook Street at that time... We pride ourselves on doing the little extras for our customers. We do very little actual advertising but have a large customer base due to all the word-of-mouth advertising by other satisfied customers. We take our customers home within a ten-mile radius, pick them up also. We even pick up the vehicle at your place of business so we can repair it while you are at work. We are certified by the State of Connecticut..
