Dr. A. Silvia Ross - Founder

Dr. A. Silvia Ross is co-founder of Triangle Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, and is board-certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. She attended medical school at the Federal University of ParanĂ¡ in ParanĂ¡, Brazil, and completed her residency and fellowship at Michael Reese Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Ross has lived in Raleigh since 1991. She is married and has three daughters. She is actively involved with a foreign exchange program and has hosted many students over the years. Dr. Ross also enjoys photography, traveling, music, skiing, diving, reading, and computers and technology.

Dr. Walter L. Chmelewski - Founder

Dr. Walter L. Chmelewski is co-founder of Triangle Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, and is board-certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He attended medical school at The University of Pittsburgh and completed his residency and fellowship at Bowman Gray Hospital in Wake Forest, NC. He and his wife of 27 years, Beth, have lived in North Raleigh since 1991, and they have two sons. In his free time, Dr. Chmelewski enjoys working out, playing tennis, attending a DPAC show with his wife, and being outside, whether it's at the beach, in the mountains or in his yard with Gypsy, his Cairn Terrier.

Sherry L. Sinclair

Dr. Sherry Sinclair is a native of Clinton, NC. She earned a BA in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MS in Physiology from North Carolina State University. She received her medical degree from East Carolina Brody School of Medicine and completed both Internal Medicine Residency and a Rheumatology Fellowship at Medical College of Virginia-Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been in private Rheumatology practice since she joined Triangle Arthritis in Raleigh in 1998, and she is board-certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Sinclair is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the North Carolina Rheumatology Association, and enjoys seeing patients across the entire spectrum of Rheumatological care. She is busy outside of work with her husband and two daughters, and she enjoys teaching Sunday School at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, gardening and spending time with friends.
