WELLENSTEIN & SONS - Key Persons
Wally Wellenstein began working at the company his father built, Wellenstein & Sons, 58 years ago when he was 28 at a time when he was mostly working as a mason in northern Wisconsin for his Uncle. Wellenstein & Sons was incorporated on March 26, 1953 and has remained in the Wellenstein family through four generations.
When Wally first began at Wellenstein, he started as a carpenter, quickly transitioned to a foreman, then moved up to an expeditor, and then bought the business from his father in 1962. When he bought the business, Wally focused on being a general and subcontractor for large and small projects - a position that has worked well for his company. He also put a strong emphasis on client relationships, and is very proud that this mindset has carried through to his sons and grandson at Wellenstein.
