Harvey Halprin

Harvey Halprin joined Wetherington Hamilton, P.A., as an Associate Attorney in 2023. His practice primarily centers around Community Association law, providing general counsel services to condominium association, homeowners' association, and cooperative boards. Navigating covenant enforcement matters, governing document amendments, association meetings, elections, recalls, expired covenants under the Marketable Record Title Act ("MRTA"), and compliance with local government land use regulations are all within the ambit of Mr. Halprin's experience. A double Gator, Mr. Halprin graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2021. During his time in Gainesville he was awarded the Law Student Award by the City and Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar, served as Executive Managing Editor of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy, and was active in all aspects of the Environmental, Land Use, and Real Estate Law program. Mr. Halprin was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. A life-long resident of this state, he delights in any opportunity to explore its natural beauty. In his spare time he enjoys engaging in various outdoor activities with friends, including kayaking, fishing, cycling, and gardening.

Kalei McElroy Blair

Kalei McElroy Blair is the managing attorney of Wetherington Hamilton, P.A. Her practice concentrates in the areas of Real Estate, Community Association Law, Residential and Commercial Closings, Commercial Litigation, Corporate Law, Contract Disputes, Collections, Civil Trial Practice, Landlord Tenant Law and Title Work. She has successfully litigated countless cases in circuit and appellate court. Kalei represents a volume of Community Associations. From covenant enforcement, amendments, easement issues, to collections and litigation, Kalei provides full-service representation to Associations. She has prevailed in collections cases taken to the Appellate level recouping all amounts owed for the Association. Additionally, Kalei has assisted Associations with general counsel work including Marketable Record Title Act ("MRTA") revitalization and preservation, amending governing documents, and assisting Associations with difficult situations. Kalei also assists Associations with complicated easement issues, fair housing and support animal accommodation requests. Kalei has also represented numerous financial institutions. She has handled residential and commercial foreclosures, loan modifications and workouts, loan document preparation, and negotiations of commercial and residential loans. Kalei has handled a volume of litigation in this practice area and has been successful taking numerous cases to trial across the state. Additionally, Kalei assists buyers and sellers with closings on residential and commercial properties. Kalei works with our underwriter to provide effective and efficient title services and legal advice in relation to closing transactions. Kalei has represented investors and has assisted in selling and closing on numerous properties. Kalei will make sure the closing is done right and on time. Recently, Kalei's closing team has been performing mobile and virtual closings making sure our clients are able to close on time. Kalei's clients include Condominium and Homeowner's Associations, Credit Unions, Banks, and individual lenders, businesses, investors, realtors, brokers, landlords and anyone wanting to buy or sell their property. Kalei joined the Wetherington Hamilton Team in 2014. She is engaged in the real estate community across the state. She prides herself on being available to her clients and helping them find effective and efficient solutions to the issue at hand. In her free time, Kalei enjoys spending time with her husband and children, attending Bucs games, cheering on the Florida State Seminoles, kayaking, and enjoying the Florida sun. She is an active Board Member for the Children's Home Network in Tampa and is passionate about helping those in need, especially our youth.

Kevin George

Kevin is an Associate Attorney here at Wetherington Hamilton, P.A. practicing in the fields of Commercial Law, Probate, Bankruptcy, Construction Liens, and Debt Collection. Prior to joining the firm, Kevin gained valuable litigation experience representing homeowners and contractors against insurance carriers, helping his clients recover millions in settlements for their wrongfully denied and undervalued claims. Coming from a family of medical professionals, Kevin was instilled with the value of service to others. He enjoys helping others and spent a good portion of his free time during law school volunteering at the Community Law Program in Saint Petersburg, Florida, assisting numerous low-income families. Kevin graduated from the Stetson University College of Law in 2016. During his time in law school, Kevin was a member of the Calvin A. Kuenzel Student Bar Association and an office holder of Stetson's chapter of Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honor society. He interned with the office of General Counsel at the Pasco County Sherriff's Office and also with in-house counsel for the Moffit Cancer Center. At graduation, he was awarded the Judge Alexander Paskay Bankruptcy Award. He also served as a judicial intern for the Chief Bankruptcy Judge in the Middle District of Florida. Before law school, Kevin attended Loyola University Chicago, where he attained a Master of Business Administration in Accounting as well as bachelor's degrees in Philosophy and Accounting. To further his legal education, Kevin obtained an LLM in Taxation, an advanced law degree, from Washington University School of Law. During his free time, Kevin enjoys working on cars, improving his Spanish, and spending time with his family and friends.

Lauren Silvers

Lauren Silvers joined Wetherington Hamilton in 2023 as an associate attorney with a passion for elder law. She practices in the areas of probate, estate planning, trust administration, and guardianship. Lauren has worked in the elder law area since beginning her legal career. She has worked in the Elder Law field since 2019 and has dedicated her practice to the area since she was admitted to the Florida Bar 2021. Her fundamental objective in serving her clients is to provide exceptional and compassionate assistance in navigating sensitive matters, such as planning for incapacity and death. Lauren is a Florida native, born and raised in Pinellas County. She graduated from UCF with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Creative Writing. While attending UCF, Lauren discovered a passion for exercise science and pursued a personal trainer certification post-graduation and worked as a personal trainer briefly before pursuing her dream of going to law school. When she is not at work, Lauren loves spending time with her family. She is the mother of a young, energetic son, who keeps her busy when she is out of the office. In addition, Lauren has a strong passion for animals, and has rescued and rehabbed neglected dogs.
