Debbie is a fully qualified Dental Nurse originally from the UK. She is our Head Dental Nurse and assists our dentists in the day-to-day provision of exceptional dental care, and she is responsible for the ongoing training and development of the nursing team here at Wellsford Dental.
Dr Fahd Huda completed his Bachelors in Dental Sciences from the University of Otago. Fahd has also obtained an International Congress of Oral Implantologists Fellowship along with IV sedation training certification. Fahd has worked for a few practices in Auckland and have now been serving the families in Wellsford and surrounding areas since 2013.
Fahd has a wealth of experience from working in private practice in New Zealand and absolutely loves dentistry!
Fahd's reputation as a warm, friendly and gentle dentist makes him a popular referral for family and friends of our patients, who love his laid back, yet professional chair-side manner. In fact, patients often tell us that Dr. Fahd's gentle care and attention always exceed even the highest expectations.
In addition to his care and attention to patients, Fahd delivers high-quality dental care using some of the most advanced dental technology available in the field of dentistry that is available here at Wellsford Dental. And while he enjoys all facets of dentistry he has special interests in oral surgery and CEREC same day crown/bridge treatments. With the aid of the technology available at Wellsford Dental he strives to achieve predictable, long-lasting results while giving his patients the most comfortable experience possible in the dental chair.
Dentistry can sometimes be complex and Fahd loves to help his patients understand their oral health needs without jargon. He practices preventative dentistry and strives to provide a gentle pain free experience.
Pursuing my passion for the dentistry, over the years I have continually updated and expanded my pool of dental skills with ongoing training and professional development courses.
In his free time, he enjoys sitting down with a good book, spending time with friends and family, and keeping a fit and active lifestyle.

As a clinician Fahd believes it is a privilege to care for his patients and his primary duty is to offer high quality care based on his clinical judgement and skills. This also includes treating his patients with utmost respect and listening patiently to all their concerns. He takes the time to explain procedures to patients so they understand why they are having it done. He prides himself on his gentle approach and aims to make every dental visit as stress free as possible.
"Why fly with the sparrows when you can soar with the eagles?" This is my favourite quote from Sir Edmund Hillary because it inspired me to better myself whenever possible and always look at the bigger picture! Life is full of ups and downs and having a positive mind-set and a long term goal, keeps you going no matter what! I have been with Wellsford Dental for 4 years and I love that the staff here are all fabulous and professional people. What I love most about dentistry is the environment of continual learning and change of keeping up with the science and artistry.
Dr Jim Han completed his Bachelors in Dental Sciences from the University of Otago. Jim loves dentistry, loves to help people, and is highly regarded among his peers. He is soft-spoken yet confident and knowledgeable. His patient's appreciate his kindness and caring personality, and his ability to make dentistry comfortable for them.
As the old saying goes, "Do as you would be done by". This is the simple philosophy that Jim employs when he works on his patients. Whether it be a couple of fillings or a complete cosmetic makeover, Jim believes in treating other people the way he would like to be treated and this has been working wonders for him. Jim has a very calm and composed way about himself that patients have come to admire and love about.
One of Jim's best qualities is his attention to detail and positive patient communication. Jim is very patient and takes the time to pay attention to the smallest detail. This virtue of patience shown by Jim to explain what is required and to get things done right the first time is what sets him apart from others. Dentistry is a complex topic for many people, requiring a clinician who is prepared to take the time and explain what's required to achieve optimum dental health. Jim has been able to do exactly that!! He provides reassurance to his patients by listening to their concerns and provides a positive experience to every patient. Jim's clinical skills are exemplary and the quality of dentistry and patient experience is very positive based on the feedback from our patient community.
Jim is actively involved in continuing dental education courses and several study clubs focusing on general dentistry, dental implants and orthodontics. Jim is always on the go with familiarising himself with the newest cutting-edge techniques as well as using the tried and tested methodologies. His areas of expertise are in Surgical Extractions, Dental Implants and Cerec Same Day Crowns. Jim is also fluent in Mandarin.
Outside of work, Jim is a keen fisherman, always looking to go out to catch something.

Hi, I'm Dr. Karthik Mohan and I am the owner/operator of Wellsford Dental and have been proudly serving the families in our community for several years. I have been practicing dentistry now for over 20 years and I can honestly state that I have more passion, drive and energy for my profession than ever before. My continuing passion for dentistry has been shaped by the countless hours of continuing education that keep my skills current and my mind stimulated to learn more. Most importantly, my character and expertise has been shaped by the hundreds of extraordinary patients that I have had the honour to serve throughout the years. I thank each and every one of you.
Dr. Mohan graduated with a Master's degree in Endodontics (with distinction) with over twenty years of valuable experience as a dental surgeon, bringing to the community his expertise in Preventative and Restorative dental care. Being actively involved in continuing education keeps Dr. Mohan tuned in with the latest developments and uses the latest advancements in dental technology.
Originally from Turangi in the Central Plateau, Kezia completed her dental training at the University of Otago in Dunedin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. After which she moved to Auckland to live and work for a short time. We are very fortunate to have Kezia relocate to our community, as she is an exceptional dentist.
Having grown up in Auckland, Dr Kishara De Silva graduated from the University of Melbourne having been fortunate enough to earn a Commonwealth scholarship. Immediately after graduating he stepped into a very challenging hospital role in rural Australia before moving back to New Zealand to begin private practice in Gore, Southland. Although he enjoyed the deep south very much, he has returned home to join the team at Wellsford Dental.

With a tendency to shy away from the limelight and play down her strengths, Reena is a steady and experienced Dentist. Her quiet consideration of dental treatment is appreciated by her patients. She is the quintessential dental practitioner, bringing together a careful eye for detail and an understanding ear for every patient's concern. Reena maintains a focus on the little things that make all the difference to our patients, connecting with them in ways that make them feel part of the Wellsford Dental family.
Dr Joseph is a registered general dentist in New Zealand, holding a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, India, obtained in 2002. Between 2007 and 2012, she pursued a postgraduate doctorate degree (Ph.D. in Oral Implantology and Regenerative Dental Medicine) at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan. Recipient of the ITI (International Team for Implantology) scholarship in 2012, this enabled her to gain valuable training at the Oral and Maxillofacial Department, at the Katharinen Hospital in Germany for a year. Additionally, Dr Joseph has conducted postdoctoral research at Showa University, Japan and has contributed to several publications in international journals.
Upon relocating to New Zealand, Reena successfully passed the Australian Dental Council exam in 2022, and has been working in various clinics across Auckland. Her expertise encompasses all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular passion for oral surgery (including wisdom tooth extractions), restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns, and bridges), and gum disease treatment.
Reena strives for clinical excellence while keeping a firm focus on her patient, and not just their teeth. Ongoing education is very important to Dr Joseph, and she is always working to be at the forefront of dentistry's proven best practices and procedures. Kylie joined our team in 2021 as a sterilisation nurse and has since become one of our dental assistants working alongside our dentists to provide the best, quality care for our patients. She has excelled in the chairside assisting role and has enjoyed gaining even more knowledge and skills.

Laura is very enthusiastic to provide gentle pain free hygiene visits that improve the health of your gums, general medical health and also to educate and motivate our patients. The treatment involved is the careful removal of deposits that build up on the teeth, slowing down the progress of any gum disease.
Laura is a registered Oral Health Therapist, graduating from Auckland University of Technology in 2012, with a Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health. She has many years previous experience working as a Dental Therapist and Hygienist in the local Kowhai Coast area. Laura has a special interest in the prevention of oral health diseases in all age groups.She is passionate about oral health, and about optimum general health and wellbeing.

Nicole is one of the reasons Wellsford Dental is different, and why dental care here feels better. She isn't just one of our patient co-ordinators, she creates a better experience for our patients with her unique insight after being a dental assistant for several years. Her role at Wellsford Dental is focused on providing patients with relaxed, non-clinical treatment consultations to understand their needs, and in assisting dentists in treatment planning.

Sharron is very enthusiastic to provide gentle pain free hygiene visits that improve the health of your gums, general medical health and also to educate and motivate our patients. The treatment involved is the careful removal of deposits that build up on the teeth, slowing down the progress of any gum disease.
Sharron is a Registered Dental Hygienist and is a local from Mangawhai. Sharron lives in a lifestyle block at Mangawhai Heads and has been in the area for over 7 years. Sharron is highly trained in optimising the dental health of her patients through tailored treatment which are both therapeutic and preventative. Being a dental hygienist means that Sharron gets to educate her patients and care for their oral needs. Building a trusting rapport by listening and being sensitive to each and every patient's specific needs is very important to her. Sharron has extensive knowledge on oral care and the treatment and prevention of gum disease, which she puts into good use every day.

Stephanie is multi-skilled and involved in many areas of the practice, with a background in publishing, marketing, digital photolithography and Agri Business management. Able to assist the dentists, and care for patients needs in the front office; her main role is office manager - she loves the variety her day brings! Her genuine and caring nature helps people feel relaxed and comfortable, and her efficiency ensures you have a wonderful experience at Wellsford Dental.
