Alexia Nicol

Alexia has been qualified as a solicitor since 2003 and achieved her Higher Rights of Audience in 2009. Since that date, she has widened her practice and now appears almost exclusively as a Crown Court Advocate undertaking jury trials and all other hearings. She also appears at the Court of Appeal when required. She represents clients facing the full spectrum of criminal offences including serious sexual, violent and drug related matters alongside financial crime and dishonesty offences. Alexia has exceptional client care skills and gains the trust and confidence of her clients at an early stage. She represents all clients without judgement and is experienced in dealing with matters sensitively but robustly. She is a skilful advocate and particularly enjoys a speech to the jury! Alexia is also a qualified Duty Solicitor which enables her to maintain her knowledge and experience of the Police Station and Magistrates Courts which gives her a unique insight into the process a client has been through and can use that to their advantage in the Crown Court.

Cheryl Ahmed

Cheryl Ahmed joined Bullivant Law in 1996 and assists in our busy reception helping out clients with their enquiries about their case progress from the police station through to the end of the court process. Cheryl is the first port of call for relatives of clients in helping to locate clients who have been put into the prison system.

Claire McGrath

Claire McGrath started working at Bullivant Law in 2001 and completed all of her training here, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005. She obtained her Higher Rights of Audience in 2008. She has a varied practice and enjoys being able to see a case through from the police station to the Crown Court. This enables her to provide a high level of care for her clients. Claire manages a number of cases for a wide range of criminal offences, including serious sexual and violent offences. She has considerable experience in dealing with young and vulnerable clients. Claire has undertaken hearings in respect of firearms offences, large scale drug supply with a vulnerable defendant, youths being dealt with in the Crown Court and a recent complex sham marriage case.

Jacqueline Joseph

Jacqueline Joseph has been qualified since 1998. She undertakes the whole range of criminal defence matters in both the Youth Court and the Magistrates Court. Jacqui has been involved in a number of serious cases throughout her career and currently appears on a daily basis at the Magistrates court, dealing with first appearances, through to trials. She also undertakes casework through to the Crown Court. She is approachable, non-judgemental and fully appreciates that each client's case is important to them even though they may not be charged with a serious offence.

Kerry Hudson

Kerry Hudson is a Solicitor and Director at Bullivant Law. She joined the firm in 2008 as a Paralegal whilst undertaking the Bar Vocational Course. She was called to the Bar in 2009 (Inner Temple) and cross-qualified in 2011 to become a Solicitor. She represents clients charged with all types of criminal offences at both the Police Station and Magistrates' Court. She has an exclusively defence-based practice and has extensive experience in preparing both Magistrates' and Crown Court cases, in all areas of crime. She is a strong advocate for equality of arms, and believes everyone should have the support of legal representatives when involved in the criminal justice system. She has expertise in dealing with vulnerable defendants and those with mental health problems. Kerry has dealt with a number of high profile and complex cases including multi handed conspiracies, homicide, drugs and serious sexual offences.
