Andrew Moore

Andrew Moore is a Logistics Coordinator at FLOOR_STORY. Since 2022 he has overseen all aspects of distribution and supply chain management with a focus on delivering the best possible customer experience. He is always investigating the most efficient and sustainable ways to move FLOOR_STORY rugs around the world. Andrew was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and moved from Toronto to the UK in 2021 to start a family with his English partner. He began his career in the publishing industry and worked for a charitable publisher in Toronto working with products to improve linguistics for SEN children. An artist and illustrator, he was a co-founder and long term member of an art collective in Toronto and continues to pursue these passions in London when his toddler allows him the time!

Brish Turner

Brish Turner is the Sales and Ecommerce Coordinator at FLOOR_STORY. She supports the team and helps ensure all of our sales and customer experiences run nice and smoothly. Brish was born in Coventry and has lived in London for over 12 years, during her time in London Brish has gained a Museum and Gallery Masters degree with a specialism in oral and social history. Before joining FLOOR STORY, Brish worked at London museums such as Hackney Museum, Museum of Home and Wellcome Collection. At Wellcome Collection, Brish coordinated exhibitions such as "Joy", "Tranquillity" and "The Common Cause". Whilst at Wellcome, she ran their LGBTQ+ network for 3 years and was nominated for Pink New's ‘Role model of the year 2020'. When Brish is not working with us, she works at her local pub and spends her time writing, playing with her cat, Pofafo, learning BSL and getting involved in community projects in East London.

Carlo di Nardo

Carlo heads up our sales team at floor story and manages our trade accounts of architects, interior designers and contract sales as well as looking after our retail clients. Carlo is a proud Scottish Italian from Glasgow and has lived in London since 2012. Having worked in the design industry since 2007, Carlo comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience of the global design community. Carlo started his career at the Danish design company BoConcept, a role that took him from Scotland to Denmark then to London before moving to Tom Dixon. At Tom Dixon, Carlo successfully grew the trade sales of the London store and was seconded to LA to open a new concept store before moving with the Tom Dixon team from west London to their new Kings Cross hub. 4 years at Lee Broom followed before Carlo joined the team at FLOOR_STORY. When he is not obsessing over every aspect of the design industry, Carlo enjoys going to concerts and club nights alike and has an eclectic taste in music and collects records. Carlo can also be found in art and design galleries, cooking, watching movies, having a glass of wine or 2 and discussing politics in his spare time.

Simon Goff is the Founder and Director of FLOOR_STORY, an independent and design-led flooring brand, with a focus solely on rugs. FLOOR_STORY has been housed in the current Shoreditch showroom since 2016 and is run by Simon and his team. After leaving school and following various jobs within the interior design and travel sectors, Simon began working alongside his father to run a flooring concession on the King Roads. In 2007, Simon and his father set up and ran a flooring department in Heals, Tottenham Court Road. With a focus and desire to develop his own brand, the business at Heals was closed and Simon then set up FLOOR_STORY. Simon's creative inspiration derives from his ongoing love of travel, Mid-Century style, art, music and from bold colours and shape - all of which very much inform the overall direction at FLOOR_STORY. Working with new and established creative talent, Simon is always aiming to produce innovative and aesthetically unique rugs which stand-alone in the industry, offering customers a fresh and exciting edit from which to choose. It has become a personal quest of Simon to travel the world, seeking out rare rugs which each bring a unique narrative and cultural breadth, to the wider collection. ​​Gill Thorpe's role as Head Designer ranges from working alongside residential and commercial interior designers on bespoke projects as well as designing collections. Gill works with the designers and artists we collaborate with, helping to develop their ideas into our designer collections. Gill applies her technical experience with rug making and colour combinations to transform original artwork into a rug design. Gill is an Irish textile and surface designer and has been working in the rug industry since 2017. After studying Visual Communications in Dublin and by then with a strong interest in the tactile qualities of design, Gill interned at the National Print Museum in from 2012-2014, before beginning a Textile and Surface Design BA at Dublin's National College of Art and Design. Gill then moved to London in 2016 to pursue print and embroidery internships with womenswear brands Danielle Romeril and Steven Tai, joining the team in 2019. Gill continues to develop personal work focused predominantly on colour exploration, texture and geometrics. Gill's influences come from photography, history, fashion, textures and pattern; Her first solo collection, named Rigg & Furrow, launched in 2021, it's inspired by the natural patterns, line formations, textures and earth-tones found in agricultural settings. Originally from Cardiff, Bekah moved to London to pursue a career in textiles and studied BA Embroidery in the London Collage of Fashion before joining the FLOOR_STORY team. During Bekah's final year in University, she was selected to collaborate with industry figures to develop an exhibition space which celebrated and showcased textiles in various forms and mediums including set design, sound, performance and videography. After graduating Bekah took on various freelance roles including digital marketing. As well as managing our showroom space, she also leads on our marketing and content creation.

Katie Richardson

Katie Richardson works with FLOOR_STORY on PR and Marketing, developing press relationships, securing coverage and looking at wider industry collaborations. Katie has worked in the design industry for 25 years, as a PR and Brand Consultant. She began her journey managing the product library for retail design consultancy Fitch during her gap year, followed by a stint at Virgin before beginning a PR career at Camron PR, where she trained from Press Officer to Associate Director. With a passion for interiors and design, Katie's experience spans launching unknown designers, to hosting events and steering campaigns for global brands. Katie also curates talks and installation programmes, runs a DJ agency and a love of vintage, music, the coastline, travel and photography feeds into and fuels her work. Connecting the dots between brands and the wider creative community is always the end game.
