Abbey Lodge is both a home and family. With long term placements we aim to provide a home for residents but tailor the long-term care to their individual needs to give the most fulfilling life as possible... The safety of our residents is of the paramount importance during the COVID 19 pandemic and we are continually adapting our policies in light of changing Government Guidelines. We understand that families would like to see their loved one's whilst in a care home and it is also important for the wellbeing of residents. We closed our doors to all but essential visitors on 11th March 2020, 12 days prior to the national lockdown began and re-opened in July 2020. During the summer of 2020 we allowed visiting in the garden (social distancing applying) and in March 2021 visiting was extended to a nominated individual for each resident ... We believe in tranquillity and peace for our residents and our garden area provides a quiet area for our residents to sit and enjoy their time.
