The Applied Computational Intelligence Laboratory (ACIL) is a collaborative artificial intelligence research laboratory conducting research on a myriad of modern neural network architectures across all learning modalities and across all engineering applications. The ACIL is the largest research program in adaptive critic designs (ACDs), a neural-network-based generalization of dynamic programming for optimization and control, with expertise in adaptive resonance theory, unsupervised learning, clustering, and reinforcement learning.
