Suzanne Stolzberg is a Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine and licensed acupuncturist (MSTOM, L.Ac.) She is dual licensed; In New York by the New York State Department of Education, and in Florida by the Florida Board of Acupuncture. Additionally, she is board certified as a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also certified in clean needle technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM). She earned her Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the prestigious Pacific College of Health and Science in New York City. This degree is a four-year graduate program that has equal focus on Acupuncture and the practice of Chinese herbology. In Florida she completed additional certifications in order to earn the title of Acupuncture Physician (A.P.), and become a primary care provider. Suzanne is the founder and director of Acuspira Health + Wellness. Her acupuncture experience includes work at NYU Langone's ‘Initiative for Women with Disabilities' program, where she was assigned severe cases of physical, neurological, and emotional disabilities. She also completed two rotations at Housing Works NYC in the harm reduction arm of their community outreach program. Her focus there involved drug abuse, detoxification, and drug prevention. These complex rotations were added to her 3500 hours of theoretical training and 900 hours of clinical rounds at PCOM, and the Pacific College Acupuncture and Massage Clinic. Along with her studies she also apprenticed at the North Jersey Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine under the guidance of Dr. Henry McCann and the Shen Center for Integrative Medicine under the guidance of Dr. Moshe Heller. She graduated Cum Laude from Columbia University with a double major in Art History / Visual Arts and was awarded a Bachelor Arts degree (BA). She also took many courses in religious studies, but it was Dr. Robert Thurman's lectures on Tibetan Buddhism that sparked her interest in meditation and what was to become a lifelong practice of yoga and the healing arts. After graduating from Columbia, Suzanne was hired by Lowe and Partners, one of the largest and most prestigious global advertising agencies in the world. She spent three years working as a graphic designer and art director, and although she passionately loved the teamwork and creative freedom, the lifestyle was overwhelming. She needed a kinder gentler atmosphere and set her sites on Europe. Her travels eventually led her to Barcelona, Spain where she opened Yogaspira, a yoga and healing center overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. In Europe she traveled extensively and made her way to India, which cemented her more esoteric and spiritual studies. Suzanne is a certified Dynamic Yoga Instructor and a member of The Independent Yoga Network. Suzanne's practice is dedicated to the late Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, who helped her see the truth and taught her what it means to feel healthy.
