HOLCOMB LAW - Key Persons

C. Carter Allen

Hi there. My name is C. Carter Allen. Some of you may be familiar with me as I graduated locally from Regent University School of Law in 2008 and have been in practice in the Hampton Roads area ever since. Now, after 10 years of successfully flying solo, I have been welcomed to the Holcomb Law team. I grew up in the heartland of America, in the state of Iowa, but have called Hampton Roads home since Thanksgiving Day of 1992. I currently live in Hampton with my wife, Jessica, two dogs (260 pounds worth!!), and three odd cats. I have three sons (Kyler, Sean, and Austin) and one daughter (Kayla); all but one has flown the coop; on to bright futures. How did an Iowa boy find his way out East? The United States Marine Corps sent me here by way of sunny southern California, and I simply refused to leave! I was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps in the Infantry and Security Forces, and I like to put that initiative, drive, and leadership ability to work for our clients every day.

Chandler Holcomb

Hello, my name is Chandler! I work here at Holcomb Law as a Legal Assistant currently, with aspirations of completing law school in the upcoming years. I went to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated in 2018 with a degree in Old Testament and Judaic-Christian Studies. Shortly afterwards, I launched to the missions field in Lima, Perú, and recently returned in June of 2020. I have had a wonderful transition back to living stateside, and look forward to going back to school next fall to study law. I am excited to study this great profession and see where a career in law can take me. When I am not studying or working, I enjoy just about any sport, adventures with friends, and joyrides on my Harley.

Dana Cox

Hi, I'm Dana! I'm a criminal law paralegal here at Holcomb Law. I've been in the criminal justice field for over 12 years, and had to leave to be a stay at home mom during the pandemic. Turns out, as much of an introvert as I think I am, I really love connecting with people, and I am so glad to be back to doing what I love. When I'm not at work, I'm taking care of my amazing son, Memphis! He is a total boy, so he's constantly keeping me on my toes outdoors, whether it's to baseball games, or to Busch Gardens to ride roller coasters! I also enjoy capturing family memories as a photographer in my free time.

Dayna Omary

Hello! My name is Dayna, I am lead paralegal here at Holcomb Law. I began my journey as a Family Law Paralegal in Fairfax, Virginia in 1993. I would not choose a different area of law to work in. My passion is helping families and individuals and navigating them through the legal process, during some of the most difficult and trying times in their lives while striving to help them obtain the best result possible. I am a Colorado native, raised at the base of the foothills. I am a Mom to four amazing children and "Lolli" to a spunky and energetic grandson. I love spending time with family, lounging in the pool, sitting around the firepit; and county living since my transition from the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia. To unwind, decompress and release stress, I take long rides down country roads, or any road, on my Harley.

Janeel Payton

Hi! My name is Janeel and I'm the Lead Intake Specialist at Holcomb Law. I graduated magna cum laude from Hampton University (Go Pirates!) in 2016. I've been in the law field for about 8 1/2 years and love everything about it. I'm married to my wonderful husband, Kenneth for 14 years. I have worked in a couple of law firms on the Peninsula for the past 6 years and I am so excited to join the Holcomb Law team! In my free time, I operate as a freelance makeup artist, enjoy working in my church, hanging out with friends, and sushi date nights with husband.

Jess Allen

I'm Jess and I'm one of the paralegals at Holcomb Law. I handle all of the personal injury cases. I have over 20 years of experience in the legal field. When I'm not working (which is rare), I love spending time with my husband and our 4 children. I also enjoy cooking with my husband, watching sports, and painting. I'm excited to be a part of the Holcomb Law team and am happy to be able to help our clients with whatever issue they may be facing.

Kameron Pratt

Hello! My name is Kameron and I work at Holcomb law as a Legal Intake Specialist. I am currently in school getting my Bachelors in Criminal Justice. Some fun facts about me are, I studied abroad in Spain when I was in high school. I love all things Disney world (which I used to work at) and Taylor Swift. In my free time I like to go to local wineries, volunteer at a local hospital and spend time with friends and family!

Katie Betz

Hi! My name is Katie and I am a family law paralegal here at Holcomb Law. I have close to six years' experience as a paralegal and legal assistant which has provided me with exposure to many different areas of law. I studied Criminal Justice at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and later earned my Paralegal Certificate. I'm thrilled to be bringing my knowledge to Holcomb Law! A little about me: I was born and raised in New Jersey but have lived throughout the country, most recently moving from Washington state to Virginia - getting back to my east coast roots! I am proud Navy wife and dog mom to our rescue pup. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, Notre Dame football games, and "helping" my husband in the garage with car projects. "He makes beauty out of ashes." Isaiah 61:3

Katie Taylor

Hi, I'm Katie Taylor, and I am a recent addition to the Holcomb Law family as the new Bankruptcy Paralegal. I have about eighteen years of experience in consumer bankruptcy. I feel very strongly about what I do, and love that I can come to work every day to make a difference in people's lives. I am a Virginia Beach native if you can believe it! I have been married to my husband for over 25 years, and we have three amazing children together, in addition to two spoiled dogs and one very old cat. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, and I was even a Master Gardener for a little while before COVID. My goal every summer is to grow the perfect tomatoes for BLTs, which can be trickier than you think!

Wayne E. Holcomb

Like many of you, I ain't from around these parts…! I was stationed here as a Navy pilot, and when I retired, I became a Virginia resident. I think life is good in Hampton Roads. My own small hometown in Kansas has now grown to a bustling population of 331, but it was less urban in my youth! My Midwestern family has been farmers and blue collar workers for as far back as we know. I grew up in farm houses without indoor plumbing. Yep, so imagine where the "bathroom" was! (Winters were cold; that's where I got my speed!) We had party line phones early on. No A/C. Then we moved to into a trailer house "in town."
