Blackmaria is mainly focus on the production of feature films, documentary, television, corporate and promotional film, for that purpose relies on the contributions of a multi-disciplined team of talented professionals combined with the most advanced technology. Blackmaria also works in the fields of design, communication, marketing and artistic production, as well as offering film service solutions through Filming in Portugal Project... In 2005, João Figueiras and Maria Messias created Blackmaria Produção Audiovisual. The company has mainly been focused on the production of feature films, documentaries, television series, corporate films and diverse audio-visual content. Blackmaria also works in the fields of design, communication, marketing and artistic production, as well as offering film service solutions through the Filming in Portugal project.
