Chuck Brown, the principle of Brown & Read Engineering, Inc., has been in the trade for over thirty years. His experience in the mechanical and construction industries includes project and business management, estimating and project design. Tyke Read, co-owner of the company, is a registered professional engineer. He has experience in both wet and dry sides of the mechanical trade, as well as the plumbing trade. He manages the engineering department and is very "hands on" with respect to project management. Brown & Read Engineering, Inc. carries full C-1 Plumbing and Heating and a full C-21 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning license with $2,000,000.00 limits each. With these licenses and an engineering department, we are a single source contractor for all your HVAC/Mechanical and Plumbing needs. This allows us to design, install and service air systems and hydronic systems for both commercial and residential systems including energy saving retrofits. These systems include air handlers, package rooftop units, furnaces, ductwork, boilers, steam heating, chillers, DX refrigeration condensing units, heating hot water and chilled water piping, refrigeration piping, radiant heating and ground-source heat pumps. We are also involved with energy saving HVAC "Green Technologies." In conjunction, we design, install, and service plumbing systems for both commercial and residential systems. This includes specialty plumbing systems, such as solar hot water heating, water soften and filtration, indirect waste systems for restaurants, and acid waste systems.
