Manav N. Segal

Manav Segal, MD is an allergist and immunologist who treats asthma and allergies in children and adults at his Wyndmoor and Center City Philadelphia offices. Dr. Segal has been recognized as a Top Doc in Philadelphia Magazine and by Main Line Today. He also has been featured on Good Morning America online, 6ABC Action News, CBS3, Fox29, NBC10, WHYY and Main Line Parent magazine in Philadelphia. See our full Media coverage. He is the first allergist in private practice in Pennsylvania to offer oral immunotherapy and Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT) in order to successfully treat food allergies, including those to milk, egg, peanut, and tree nuts. He was one of the first doctors in the region to introduce allergy cluster immunotherapy to treat seasonal allergies, which provides a faster-track to well-being. Board certified by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Board of Internal medicine, Dr. Segal is Chief of Allergy & Immunology at Chestnut Hill Hospital and is on staff at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Methodist Hospital. Dr. Segal completed medical school training at the University of Texas at San Antonio and his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. His fellowship was at Creighton University Hospital (Omaha, Nebraska) in pediatric and adult Allergy/Immunology. One of the region's top allergists and immunologists, Dr. Segal treats asthma and allergies in children and adults. He's among the first in the U.S. to offer oral immunotherapy.

Maria Lauer

Maria is a certified family nurse practitioner with a special interest in pediatrics. After graduating with her BSN from Villanova University, she worked as a bedside and clinical research nurse in the emergency department at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC - the only level one pediatric trauma center in the tri-state area. A certified family nurse practitioner, Maria Lauer began her career as a bedside and clinical research nurse in the only level-one pediatric trauma center in the tri-state area.

Priya Mehta

Priya Mehta, MD is an allergist/immunologist treating allergies, asthma, and eczema in children and adults. She is board certified in pediatrics and board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She completed her allergy/immunology training at Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children / Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and her pediatric training at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She received her medical and bachelor's degrees from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Mehta has presented at the national level and has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Her publications include "Pediatric Provider Knowledge of Early Peanut Introduction Recommendations" (2020) and "Mealtime Behavior Among Parents and their Young Children with Food Allergy" (2017), both in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Dr. Mehta enjoys working together with patients and families to improve their quality of life in a way that is best for them. She is excited to have the ability to offer individualized therapies to her patients based on their needs and the newest research. She has a special interest in the prevention of food allergy, which starts with an infant's first bites. Dr. Mehta wants to learn about how her patients' environments may be impacting their health and hopes to help them live fulfilling lives that are not hindered by their allergic diseases.
