Founded in 1976, the Chinese Dance Workshop (CDW) is registered as a charitable and non-profit organization and is managed by a dedicated team of young professionals on a voluntary basis. Its major goal is to preserve and promote, in Canada, the rich cultural heritage of Chinese dance by providing a forum for training and by presenting works at professional standards to the public... The Chinese Dance Workshop, a non-profit charitable organization, was founded in 1976 by a group of young individuals who had a passion for Chinese folk dance and traditional Chinese culture. The goals and aspirations outlined for this dance group are to learn, collect, treasure, and promote the various minority folk dances of China
