Bryant R. Boyd

Dr. Boyd began serving as Emergency Department Physician in 2019, and he also serves as Emergency Department Medical Director at Willis Knighton Bossier. His education included Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, B.S. in Biological Sciences, graduating Magna cum Laude in 2007, and he received his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport, LA in 2011. Dr. Boyd completed his Residency/Internship as Chief Resident, Emergency Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in 2014. Dr. Boyd's community work experience entails time with Bossier Parish EMS. Bossier City Fire Department, and other entities. He is Board Certified through American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP).

Dr. Russell Cummings

Dr. Russell Cummings is Citizens Medical Center's leading General Surgeon for both in-patient and emergency-based surgeries. His concentrations include: hernia repairs, hysterectomies, appendectomies, bowel resections, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, hemorrhoidectomies, breast biopsies, circumcisions, laproscopic procedures, laproscopic gallbladder removals, lesion and cyst removals, D & C, EGD and colonoscopies, and bronchoscopes.

Dr. Tri Pham

Job Titles:
  • Emergency Medicine Physician at the VA
Dr. Pham serves as an Emergency Medicine physician at the VA in Shreveport and Citizens Medical Center. Dr. Tri Pham graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Aviation in 2005, after which he earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University in 2010. In 2013 he completed his residency at LSU Shreveport. At present, he serves as an Emergency Medicine physician at the VA in Shreveport and Citizens Medical Center. Dr. Pham works as Assistant Medical Director at Encompass Rehab in Shreveport, LA. In his free time he enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Edward Paul

Dr. Paul serves as an Emergency Room Physician at Willis Knighton Health Systems in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Paul grew up in small town, Elizabeth, Louisiana. His education included pharmacy school at Northeast Louisiana University in 1987, after which he worked for the Jack Eckerd Corporation until 1990. In 1994, he received his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University, New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Paul completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Charity Hospital, New Orleans in 1998. He is Board Certified through the American Board of Emergency Medicine. From 1998 to present, he has worked as an Emergency Room Physician at Willis Knighton Health Systems in Shreveport, Louisiana. In his free time, Dr. Paul enjoys golfing, traveling with his wife and family, hunting, and fishing when time permits.

Emily D. Kinney

Dr. Kinney is board certified in Family Medicine. She is a graduate of the LSUHSC Shreveport Medical School and served her internship and residency at Ochsner LSU Shreveport - Monroe Medical Center. Dr. Emily Kinney is board certified in Family Medicine, and began seeing new patients on July 15, 2019. She is a graduate the LSUHSC Shreveport Medical School and served her internship and residency at Ochsner LSU Shreveport - Monroe Medical Center. Floyd T. Jones

With over 30 years of family practice experience, Dr. Jones is known and trusted by many area residents. He is a recipient of the American Medical Society Physician Recognition Award. His education spans from the University of Health Sciences - College of Osteopathic Medicine to an internship with Charles E. Still Osteopathic Hospital, Jefferson City, MO, and residency at LSU Health/E.A. Conway Hospital in Monroe. In addition, he has valuable Preceptor experience with University of Louisiana at Monroe, Delta Ouachita Vocational Technical Institute, and University of Southern Mississippi.

Frederick Yates

Dr. Ruby Frederick Ketner Yates graduated from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1987, and completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Yates is CMC's Emergency Department Director. He served as Chief of Emergency Services in the US Armed Forces at the US MASH Unit in South Korea, and then as Director of Emergency Medicine at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, followed by a similar position with Minden Medical Center located in Minden, Louisiana. Dr. Yates joined Citizens Medical Center during August, 2012, and is treating patients of all ages.

Galen Pizzorno

Dr. Pizzorno has treated patients of all ages in the Emergency Department since 2021. Dr. Pizzorno graduated from University of Washington with a B.S. in Neurobiology in 2013, Summa cum Laude. He then graduated from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, elected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, in 2018. He completed Emergency Medicine residency at OHSU in 2021 and has been working in Louisiana since, at both Lake Charles Memorial Hospital ER and Citizens Medical Center.

Gerald A. Ross

Job Titles:

Dr. Ross is a Pediatrician and is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He has over 25 years of experience. Dr. Ross specializes in pediatrics and pediatric critical care. He graduated with his Medical Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma and completed his residency at Tulane University. He then went on to complete his fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Richard W. Jacobson

Dr. Jacobson is a Board Certified Emergency Physician by ABEM since 2004. Dr. Jacobson is presently the Medical Director of Willis Knighton Pierremont ER in Shreveport, and has been with WK Pierremont since 2012. He earned his BS at University of Georgia and his MD at Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. His emergency medicine residency was at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Tx. In his free time, he enjoys skiing (especially heli-skiing) and traveling.

Steven Holt

Dr. Holt grew up in California and Hawaii, and when his father retired from the Marine Corp, moved to Louisiana where he entered Centenary College in Shreveport, majoring in Chemistry. He entered Medical School in 1984 at Louisiana State University Health Science Center where he was in an MD/PhD program. However, his training was interrupted by military service during Desert Storm where he served as the Brigade Surgeon for Tiger Brigade, 2nd Armored Division of General Patton's fame, and was awarded the Bronze Star. He gained experience with Air Medical evacuation, and while in the military completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas where he was requested to stay as staff physician. After completing his military service, he accepted a position in Shreveport where he became the Medical Director for Willis Knighton Medical Center Bossier. He later accepted a position in Kona, Hawaii before moving to Hong Kong as the Medical Director for AirMed Asia.

Whitney Guerrero

Whitney Guerrero is a native of Caldwell Parish. She graduated from Caldwell Parish High School, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2011. She worked as a registered nurse for several years, and graduated with honors in 2015 from Northwestern State University of Louisiana with a Master of Science in Nursing. Whitney is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and sees patients of all ages for acute and chronic health problems at Citizens Rural Clinic.
