John S. Bennet

Attorney John Bennet practices in the areas of civil litigation, municipal law, planning and zoning, corporate law, and business law. A lifelong resident of southern Connecticut, Mr. Bennet serves as counsel to Regional School District #4 and several local towns. He also serves as an attorney trial referee. JOHN S. BENNET is a lifelong resident of southern Connecticut and joined the firm in 1977. He is admitted to the courts of Connecticut and the U.S. District Court. John is a graduate of American University (B.A. 1973) and the University of New Hampshire's Franklin Pierce Law Center (J.D., 1977), where he was the Federal Editor of the Survey of New Hampshire Law, 1976. He is currently counsel to Regional School District #4 and the towns of Chester, Clinton, and East Haddam. He serves as an Attorney Trial Referee and is a member of the Middlesex County and Connecticut Bar Associations, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and Trial Lawyers of America. Kenneth J. McDonnell

Attorney Kenneth J. McDonnell devotes his practice to personal injury, civil litigation, family law, employment law and workers' compensation. He is a board-certified trial lawyer and a member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Mr. McDonnell has been selected for inclusion in Connecticut Super Lawyers from 2007 to 2016 for Personal Injury. KENNETH J. MCDONNELL began the practice of law in 1983 and is a board certified trial lawyer. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Connecticut, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. He is a graduate of Boston College (B.A., magna cum laude, 1980) and the University of Connecticut (J.D., 1983). Attorney McDonnell serves as an Attorney Trial Referee and Fact Finder/Arbitrator and Special Master for the Superior Court. He is a member and past president of the Middlesex County Bar Association and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Ken has also been designated as a Connecticut Super Lawyer in Connecticut Super Lawyer's Magazine* (as a Rising Star in Family Law for 2011-2013) and in Connecticut Super Lawyer's Magazine as a Super Lawyer in the field of family law in 2019 and 2020. Attorney McDonnell is an experienced litigator with broad trial experience in many areas of practice including Divorce, Child Custody and Family Law, Personal Injury, General Civil Litigation, Real Estate, Property, Employment and Workers' Compensation. He also has extensive experience as an appellate attorney in both the state and federal courts. Attorney McDonnell is specially trained in mediation and collaborative divorce. Although Attorney McDonnell has the training and experience to zealously advocate for his clients in court, he also is committed to helping his clients and their families avoid the emotional and financial costs of litigation. Because of that commitment to alternatives to litigation he is a member of the Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group and he serves as an independent mediator.

Paige S. Quilliam

Paige S. Quilliam began the practice of law in 1999. She is a graduate of Saint Michael's College (B.A., magna cum laude, 1995) and Quinnipiac College School of Law (J.D. 1998). Attorney Quilliam serves as a Special Master for the Superior Court. She is a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association, she is a board member of the New London County Bar Association, and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. Paige has also been designated as a Connecticut Super Lawyer in Connecticut Super Lawyer's Magazine* (as a Rising Star in Family Law for 2011-2013) and in Connecticut Super Lawyer's Magazine as a Super Lawyer in the field of family law in 2019 and 2020. Attorney Quilliam is an experienced family law attorney with broad experience in many aspects of family law including divorce litigation, litigation of parenting disputes, drafting and reviewing prenuptial agreements, mediation of financial and parenting issues in divorcing or separating couples, and she has served as both attorney for the minor child and guardian ad litem wherein she is appointed by the Court to advocate for children. Paige also assists with probate issues (preparation of wills/ health care statements). Paige is committed to helping her clients and their families minimize conflict and costs for their emotional well-being and that of any children involved. Attorney Paige Quilliam has substantial practices in Middlesex and New London Counties and she looks forward to continuing to offer services in that region, primarily in the area of family law counsel as well as some probate/wills work.

Robert G. Tukey

is a Partner at Gould, Larson, Bennet, McDonnell, and Quilliam P.C. He is a graduate of Fairfield University and Western New England University School of Law. A native of Southeastern Connecticut, Attorney Tukey returned to the area to practice, primarily litigating marital and custody and personal injury matters, as well as handling real estate transactions and probate litigation. He currently resides in Niantic with his family. Attorney Tukey's professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers' Association, and the Oliver Ellsworth American Inn of Court. Attorney Tukey is a Past President of the New London County Bar Association. Attorney Tukey was named to the Super Lawyers Connecticut and New England Rising Stars 2011 and 2012 lists. Each year, only 2.5% of attorneys in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine forty years old and under, or in practice for ten years or less, receive the Rising Stars honor. In 2016 Attorney Tukey received the National Academy of Family Law Attorney's 2016 Nationally Ranked Top Ten Attorney Award. Attorney Tukey has also focused on volunteering within his community. He is a Past President of the board and a coach for East Lyme Little League, and he has coached basketball and soccer for East Lyme Parks and Recreation.
