Hai Yan Zhang - CEO

Ms. Hai Yan Zhang was born, raised, and educated in Beijing, China, where her family still resides. She worked for the Chinese government as a computer scientist before coming to the United States in 1987 to earn a Masters of Science degree in Satellite Meteorology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Afterwards, she worked as a scientist for Colorado State University. Since 1992, she has been a business partner with Dr. Gordon working as an international business consultant to Fortune 500 companies & SMEs in the United States and Asia. Recently, Ms. Zhang worked in China as Senior Corporate Adviser to a Fortune 200 company helping them work through an acquisition deal, handling Government relations, facilitating and participating in most of the negotiations with land developers, business partner companies, and Chinese government entities. She was Colorado Governor Bill Owens' China consultant and interpreter during Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji's visit to Denver. In 2001, Ms. Zhang accompanied Denver Mayor Wellington Webb to China for the opening of Denver's Chinese Trade Office where she served as his Special Consultant and interpreter. Furthermore, she was featured in Newsweek (Select) Magazine (March 2007), the Chinese version of Newsweek Magazine, as one of China's outstanding business women. Hai Yan was recently interviewed in China about her background, keys to her success, and her role in Gordon Pacific, by China Radio International (CRI) on a program called ‘Face-to-Face', which interviews exceptionally successful overseas Chinese (August, 2016). Previously, she was featured along with Dr. George Renwick, in the video titled "Chinese Cultural Values: The other Pole of the Human Mind" produced by the Intercultural Press. She has also been the subject of an article in Emerging Markets magazine. She has appeared on television in the USA and China, and has been featured or quoted in a variety of different popular press articles appearing in such newspapers as the New York Times, the Denver Post, the Rocky Mountain News, the Boulder Daily Camera, and the "In The Know" series of intercultural business books. To keep pace with the rapidly changing conditions in China, Ms. Zhang spends approximately five months a year in China, working closely with the Chinese business community, corporate clients, government contacts, and expatriates living and working in China. She is a Certified Executive Leadership Coach (LPI). Jim Wilson

Jim Wilson is responsible for designing and delivering consulting projects ranging from Supply Chain Risk and Opportunity Quantifications to start-up assistance for new businesses. His prior experience includes: Executive Director for Trade Management consulting for J.P. Morgan Chase; Vice President of Operations Management and International Trade Management for Vastera, Inc. prior to its acquisition by J.P. Joe Steinberg

Joe Steinberg spent 25 years of his career with Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector (SPS), which later became Freescale Semiconductor. His experience encompasses all aspects of manufacturing and supply chain operations. As Vice President of SPS China, Joe was responsible as General Manager for the startup and operation the first 200mm wafer fabrication factory in China, G.M of the Assembly and Test operation, and served as the Senior Executive for the Motorola SPS China as well as Managing Director for the XiQing Integrated Manufacturing Site. Joe joined Motorola as a process engineer after graduating from The University of Colorado in Boulder with a BS Electrical Engineering and quickly gained experience in semiconductor manufacturing through a series increasingly responsible management positions. In 1993 Joe was promoted to Operations Manager for Manufacturing in Austin, TX where he drove capacity and technology expansions and was promoted to Vice President of Operations. Joe was selected by Motorola to startup a new, high technology, and manufacturing complex in 1997 in Tianjin China. This facility was designed as an integrated manufacturing site, combining the 200mm wafer fabrication with assembly and final test, the first high volume, integrated operation of its kind. This facility was the first 200mm wafer fabrication facility to be built in China. Joe spent 8 years in China and during this time served as Vice President and GM of the all the Motorola XiQing Operations as well as being the GM of China for Motorola SPS. During his time there he participated in many negotiations with the government including leading the spin-off of Freescale Semiconductor from Motorola and was the senior executive for Motorola SPS and Freescale in China. While in China Joe was active in the American Chamber of Commerce in Tianjin and served as the head of the International School of Tianjin Board of Governors. He was active with the local Chinese government officials with many influential party contacts in the Tianjin Municipal government. Since retiring from Motorola, Joe has been a consulting partner at Gordon Pacific. Ken Chaplin was previously Vice President and General Manager of Crocs Global Marketing, Licensed Products, and vertical businesses.
