Ben Krsnak is an Executive Vice President at Hempel, where he is instrumental in creating property enhancement and development strategy. Ben has over 15 years of experience working on behalf of both landlords and tenants. Past landlords and clients include REITs, hedgefunds, private equity investors, and private individuals. Current clients include Artis REIT, LS Capital, and MLG Capital. Since joining Hempel, Ben has been involved in development and leasing of more than one million square feet of real estate properties throughout the Twin Cities. His portfolio includes Class A CBD office, suburban office, retail, industrial, and undeveloped land.
Ben is a graduate of the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with majors in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Ben also earned his MBA from the Carlson School of Management. He is active in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA) ; the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP); and the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR). Ben has completed multiple courses for his CCIM designation.

Braden joined Hempel in 2020 as the Vice President of Acquisitions. Braden leads the sourcing, underwriting and due diligence process for acquisitions and dispositions.
​Previously Braden worked for a family office/investment sales team in Chicago where he underwrote over $750 million worth of office and industrial assets for clients. Additionally, he was the lead analyst on approximately $250 million of office and industrial acquisitions/developments.
​Braden graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. Braden was enrolled in the rigorous investment management program (IMCP).

Brent Jacobson is an Executive Vice President at Hempel, where he is responsible for brokerage services at the firm. Brent specializes in leasing and sales in the Twin Cities Metro Area and oversees the marketing of the Hempel portfolio and representation for his clients.
With more than 15 years of experience in tenant and landlord representation, Brent effectively shares his in-depth real estate expertise and market knowledge with clients. Prior to joining Hempel, Brent was responsible for more than three million square feet of real estate transactions as a Senior Associate at Colliers International. He has also occupied a role as a research director at a real estate consulting and valuation firm. Brent is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate in the Minnesota - Dakotas CCIM Chapter. He's a member of both the Minnesota and National Association of Realtors (MAR and NAR respectively) and the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR).
Connie joined Hempel in 2017, having previously worked as a Corporate Receptionist for a local commercial real estate and property management firm. Connie attended the University of Wisconsin - Marshfield.
Courtney Morris joined Hempel in 2015. Her role has been instrumental in the $90 million redevelopment project at The Avenue complex in downtown Milwaukee. She also oversees the property management team for Hempel's Milwaukee-area projects and has been influential in the lease-up and development of Hempel's Milwaukee-area projects.

As Director of Investor Relations, Dan oversees investor communications, reporting, and tax compliance for the company. In addition, he is intimately involved in capital raising for new acquisitions. Prior to joining Hempel, Dan worked for Ryan Companies, a national real estate developer, with a focus on financial forecasting, project funding, and compliance for office, multifamily, industrial, and senior housing projects. He began his career in public accounting with Baker Tilly, working primarily with real estate developers on tax consulting and compliance. Dan is a certified public accountant (inactive) and holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Northwestern - St Paul. He is also a finance board member for Twin Cities Church, and outside of work enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors exploring the north woods of Minnesota with his wife and three children.

Emily joined the Hempel team in 2017 and is the Executive Assistant to Josh Krsnak. She provides administrative support and works alongside Josh to coordinate and implement business development. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Biblical & Theological Studies from Bethel University (MN). Prior to joining Hempel, Emily supported business and event operations at a nonprofit organization.

Greg is a leasing associate at Hempel. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2005 and worked as a personal trainer, coach and personal strength coach from 2005 until 2019. His passion for helping people solve their problems drove him in his past career and is as valuable in real estate. He believes in hard work and having fun. If you're going to work hard you better have fun doing it!
Haeyoon is the Accounting Manager at Hempel with experience in commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties. She is responsible for producing financial statements, quarterly reports, and oversees an international team of bookkeepers who manage cash reporting for the company. Prior to Hempel, she worked in the non-profit sector as a financial analyst for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.

As President and CFO, Jesse manages and oversees the financial risks, planning, and reporting of the company. He graduated from the University of Saint Thomas (MN) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Financial Management and Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Jesse spent his early career in public accounting at local and regional firms working primarily with real estate developers and investors on strategic planning and compliance. Jesse has been actively involved in affordable housing development and management from the professional services side within public accounting and during his time working for a regional developer.

Jorgen joined Hempel in 2022 as an Investment Analyst.
As CEO, Josh Krsnak oversees all facets of the company. Specifically, he is intimately involved with the company's acquisitions, capital raises, and investor and lender relations. Josh joined Hempel Real Estate as the first employee and ultimately bought the firm from its founder, Jon Hempel.
During his 21-year tenure, he has overseen the purchase and development of more than $1 billion in commercial real estate. In 2020, Josh was named to the Minnesota 500 list, which recognizes the most powerful business leaders in Minnesota. He was also recognized as a "Power Broker" by the Milwaukee Business Journal in both 2020, 2021, and 2023. In 2016, Josh was named one of the recipients of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's "40 Under 40" award. Josh was also recently named a Twin Cities Business Top 100 People to Know in 2024.
Josh is active in his community and serves on the board of advisors for Avivo (a chemical dependency nonprofit) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He is also an adjunct professor at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Prior to entering the commercial real estate development industry, Josh was a financial analyst at Honeywell and a business consultant for Accenture.

Kristen Anderson joined Hempel in 2019. Kristen oversees Hempel's construction and design activities as they pertain to development, capital, and tenant improvement projects within our Minnesota portfolio. Prior to joining Hempel, Kristen was a Project Manager and Historic Preservation Specialist for a Minnesota architecture, engineering, and interiors firm, working on historic properties throughout Minnesota and greater Midwest.
She has a Master's from Pratt Institute in Historic Preservation with a Minor in Facilities Management and a Bachelor's from the University of Minnesota in Business and Marketing Education, Mass Communication, with Minor in Design. Kristen is a Board Member of Rethos, Places Reimagined (formerly the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota) and is a member of Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women (MNCREW) and serves on the Programs Committee. She also serves as Volunteer Chair for the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center's yearly fundraiser gala.

Nick Monson joined Hempel in 2021. As Chief Operating Officer, Nick helps Hempel navigate a broad array of real estate matters, including commercial finance transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, lease negotiations, and capital markets transactions. Nick graduated from the University of Saint Thomas (MN) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Entrepreneurship and is a licensed attorney having graduated summa cum laude from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. Prior to joining Hempel, Nick was a shareholder in the largest Minneapolis based law firm.
Nick has regularly represented institutional lenders, borrowers, private equity funds, corporate entities, landlords, tenants, developers and private individuals in commercial real estate and finance transactions. Nick is a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star, and was named one of the 2021 Best Lawyers in America by Best Lawyers, a nationally based peer reviewed publication.

Ryan joined the Hempel team in 2017 and is a Property Manager in Milwaukee. He manages the office, retail and commercial tenants. He works closely with the Vice President of Development Courtney Morris. Ryan volunteers with many community organizations and Milwaukee's Children's Hospital. He is the Operations Director for Milwaukee Pridefest, the largest LGBTQ festival on permanent festival grounds.

Sheri Boyland is the Corporate Controller at Hempel. She manages the property accounting system as well as the monthly financial reporting process. A crucial part of her involvement includes cash management, accounts payable and receivable, and she works closely with the executive and property management staff at Hempel.
Sheri also directs the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate and timely planning to increase the value of each property in Hempel's portfolio. Sheri brings more than 30 years of experience to her role. Prior to joining Hempel in 2001, Sheri was the regional financial manager for a national commercial real estate firm. She oversaw the accounting staff, budget and reporting process of a territory spanning five states.
Sid joined Hempel in 2022 as a Property Accountant.
