The Highlands Fire Department is an all Volunteer Organization that proudly protects an estimated 5,000 people living in an area of one square mile. Located in Highlands, NJ we operate out of one station that protects a primarily residential area. The department consists of 50 members, but is always looking to grow. The department was founded in 1900 and is composed of two companies Columbia Hose Company No. 1 & Star Hook and Ladder Company No. 2.
