Use fabric glides on the legs of your furniture so they move easily without scuffing the floor. Clean/replace the glides regularly: grit can become embedded. Use mats at all exterior doors to help prevent dirt, grit and sand from getting inside the house. Sunlight can cause discoloration over time. Close curtains and blinds or add sheer drapes to protect a hardwood floor from intense UV rays... A) The sanding dust is very fine and will filter through nearly any barrier, and our goal is to minimize it.
