Anita Bratcher

Anita has a 17-year history with Ohio State having worked in several units and colleges in a variety of roles. Prior to the university, she served in executive assistant roles at LBrands, Bricker & Eckler LLP and Nationwide Insurance. She is a former member of USAC (University Staff Advisory Committee) and the Critical Difference Scholarship Grant program. She is also a former and current member of OSUAP (The Ohio State University Administrative Professionals). Anita earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Franklin University and her master's degree in human resources management from the Fisher College of Business. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her mini-dachshund Shelby, trying new recipes from YouTube, interior decorating, socializing with friends and traveling to Maryland to visit family. She contributes her time to the causes for Alzheimer's, Breast Cancer and Sickle Cell Anemia.

Brian Newell

As Chief Audit Executive of the Department of Internal Audit, Brian Newell manages a broad and comprehensive program of internal auditing covering the university, Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and affiliated entities. He is also responsible for the annual development of a risk-based audit plan and for the communication of internal control and compliance risks to the Legal, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee of the Board of Trustees and senior university leadership. Brian joined The Ohio State University in 2002. Prior to being named Chief Audit Executive in 2024, Brian served as the Director of Internal Audit where he was responsible for the operations of the department's three teams - the University Financial/Operational Audit Team, the Medical Center Financial/Operational Audit Team and the Information Systems Audit Team. Brian previously spent six and a half years at Holbrook & Manter as an audit manager/senior auditor and two years at the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation as an internal auditor. Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting from The Ohio State University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Jake Wozniak - Treasurer

As Treasurer and Deputy CFO, Jake is focused on furthering the university's mission by advancing operational excellence and resource stewardship. He oversees all treasury functions for the enterprise, the bursar's office, innovation-related investments as well as several university strategic financial initiatives. He is responsible for enterprise banking and merchant services, cash and liquidity management, operating funds investment, planning for and funding university capital needs, debt capital markets functions, rating agency and investor relations, parking concession agreement oversight, tuition and fees billing and collection, and centralized accounts receivable along with other university financial initiatives. Jake serves as the Treasurer of Campus Partners, Assistant Treasurer of the Ohio State Foundation, a board member of the Hospital Self-Insurance Board, and a member of the Retirement Oversight Committee and Senior Management Council. Jake has 20 years of experience spanning the capital markets, government, and higher education. Prior to joining Ohio State in 2017, Jake was a Director for KeyBanc Capital Markets. Jake previously spent nine years as Director of Debt Management for the Ohio Treasurer of State's office. There he facilitated the issuance of approximately $13 billion of municipal debt obligations including the nation's largest tax-exempt tobacco securitization ($5.4 billion). He is a two-time graduate of The Ohio State University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with finance and risk-management specializations and a Master of Business Administration. He is a Certified Treasury Professional, Certified Corporate FP&A Professional, and holds FINRA Series 7, Series 63 and Series 53 Securities Licenses (inactive). Karina Sampei Brown - CCO

As communications director for the Office of Business and Finance, Karina Brown helps to advance and convey Ohio State's major financial initiatives, with an emphasis on operational excellence and resource stewardship to support the university's core mission. Karina is an experienced communication professional with more than twenty years of experience in fields ranging from higher education and workforce development to financial, insurance and professional services. She joined Ohio State in 2019 from Columbus State, where she was a member of the president's leadership team. As assistant to the president, she managed executive communications and strategic initiatives bolstering community awareness and reinforcing student engagement. Prior to Columbus State, Karina led workforce development marketing strategies for the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce with an emphasis on K-12 career academies for Columbus City Schools. She held previous roles in marketing and communications for Arthur Andersen, Progressive Insurance and Fifth Third Bank. As chief of staff and special assistant to the senior vice president and CFO, Kelly Des Roches provides leadership within the Office of Business and Finance to support the university's goals of operational excellence and resource stewardship. Kelly's role is diverse: She represents SVP and CFO Michael Papadakis in a variety of matters across the university, advancing strategic projects and managing the administrative functions of the Office of Business and Finance. Among her duties, she reviews and approves university contracts, provides counsel and advice on university-wide and department-level policies and procedures, and engages with university and external leaders on behalf of the Office of Business and Finance. Kelly joined Ohio State in 2008 and held leadership roles in the Office of Financial Services and Technology Commercialization and Knowledge Transfer office before moving to the central Office of Business and Finance. Prior to her work at the university, she served in various budget and policy roles for the State of Ohio and as a private consultant. She spent more than 13 years in state government, serving the Ohio Attorney General, the Office of Budget and Management, and the Ohio School Facilities Commission. She holds a bachelor's degree from Miami University and a master's degree in public administration, with a specialization in public finance, from The Ohio State University.

As vice president of operations and deputy chief financial officer for Ohio State, Kristine Devine is focused on both daily financial operations and strategic initiatives that advance operational excellence and resource stewardship. She oversees operations including the university's budget, financial planning and analysis, the controller's office and financial reporting, purchasing, stores, receiving, mail, payroll services, and accounts payable. In the community, Kris has served 15 years on the board of I Know I Can, a college access program dedicated to making higher education a reality for tens of thousands of Columbus City Schools students. Past community service includes serving as treasurer of the Franklin Park Conservatory and Center of Vocational Alternatives. Prior to joining the Office of Enterprise Risk Management at Ohio State, Mark had an expansive career leading the risk management function at large organizations including commercial and residential real estate (investment) firms; the world's largest beer, wine, and spirits manufacturer; and a top three retail wholesale club store chain. Along with that experience and just prior to joining Ohio State, Mark led and was a Partner and Practice Leader overseeing the USI offices located in Upstate New York. USI is the 6th largest privately held insurance and risk management broker/consultant in the United States. Mark received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire, a Master's in Business Administration from Babson College, and holds the designation of Associate in Risk Management. He is married and a father of three.

Michael Papadakis - CFO, SVP

Michael Papadakis leads all financial activities of the institution and oversees a $9+ billion annual budget as the senior vice president of business and finance and chief financial officer for The Ohio State University. Mike is focused on advancing the university's mission through operational excellence and resource stewardship, including efficiencies and innovative funding solutions. He began as Ohio State's vice president and treasurer in 2011 and has been serving as the university's senior vice president and CFO since February 2018. As CFO, Mike oversees offices including business advancement, corporate engagement, financial operations, internal audit, investments, risk management & insurance, treasury, energy innovation and the Wexner Medical Center CFO. Mike led the university's team on the $1.165 billion comprehensive energy management partnership, which represents the largest-ever investment in Ohio State's academic mission. The university has invested most of the funds in endowments that support student scholarships, teaching excellence and other academic priorities. The partnership is also improving the sustainability of the Columbus campus - with work underway to improve building energy efficiency by at least 25 percent within 10 years - and creating a $50 million energy innovation center to advance discoveries to market.

Scott Potter

As senior director of comprehensive energy management, Scott has primary responsibility for the oversight of the Ohio State University Energy Partnership agreement. He serves as the university liaison to Ohio State Energy Partners, as well as chairing the Energy Advisory Committee. Beyond the concession agreement, Scott's role is to help ensure that the enterprise-wide energy profile is as efficient and affordable as possible, while also sustainably meeting the university's operational needs. This includes oversight of Ohio State energy procurement strategies and transactions. Scott has more than 30 years of public and private sector utility experience with expertise in power purchase agreements, building energy efficiency, utility M&A, demand-response and utility regulation. Scott came to Ohio State in 2003, and was initially engaged in energy research at the National Regulatory Research Institute housed in Ohio State's College of Engineering. At the same time, he was detailed to Battelle Memorial Institute, where he provided energy services consultation to benefit the U.S. military. Prior to joining Ohio State, Scott was the director of utilities at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Scott is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Southern California. For more than ten years, he served as a board of trustee member and executive officer for the Ohio Energy Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to energy and leadership education for Ohio's K-12 students and teachers.

Vishnu ("Vish") joined The Ohio State University Office of Investments in May 2020 as Chief Investment Officer and oversees the future strategic development and ongoing management of the university's Long-Term Investment Pool (LTIP).
