HKCWP

The members of the Hong Kong Chamber Wind Philharmonia have known each other for years, playing and working together in the past as members of the Hong Kong Youth Wind Philharmonia. We were inspired to form the Hong Kong Chamber Wind Philharmonia in September 2008 in order to provide an ensemble for the more experienced young musicians in which work, play and learn. The 50 talented members of the HKCWP were chosen based on their experience and maturity, and we hope it will give them the chance to participate in a more professional level group for musicians. We also hope that in forming the HKCWP, we will inspire the younger generations of wind, brass and percussion players in Hong Kong to pursue music as their future careers.
