HOLLY'S SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Hello, I'm Holly Jones. I'm so glad you stopped by! To share a little bit about myself, I began playing the piano at the age of 6. I have had four amazing instructors throughout my life who I would like to honor here now: Ms. Rosalie Speciale who gave me a solid musical foundation for 9 years. I then continued under the instruction of Mr. Darrell Leffler for 4 years. He taught me to explore and experiment at the keyboard in classical, jazz and pop. After high school, I decided to take it a step further to San Jose State University where I pursued a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Piano Performance. My first year was spent with Dr. Laurel Brettel who welcomed me so warmly into the department. I finished the keyboard program with the acclaimed Dr. Gwendolyn Mok. I didn't know I could play so dynamically, expressively or powerfully until Dr. Mok pushed me to my limits technically, bringing out my best, and challenging me to rise to every occasion.
