He completed his trade in South Africa and has worked in the refrigeration and cooling industry since 1993, commencing at J & R Refrigeration in 2005. Allan enjoys the diverse nature of the industry, which never stops challenging the individual and the team. He is deeply invested in the success of the company and the growth of its people. He takes pride in fostering relationships within the team and witnessing individuals thrive and develop over the years.
When not working, Allan embraces the outdoors and enjoys a variety of activities including gardening, boating, fishing, home improvement projects, motorbike riding, and exploring the bush. He can't live without open spaces and loves most of all to spend time with his wife, his family, and his dogs.

Meet Robert James Williamson, the dedicated Managing Director of J & R Refrigeration, based in Cairns, Queensland. Originally from Brisbane, Robert's journey in the refrigeration industry began as an apprentice in 1986, marking the inception of his lifelong commitment to the field.
With over three decades of experience under his belt, Robert's career has been a testament to his unwavering dedication and expertise. From his early days as a technician in Brisbane to his pivotal role as a supervisor in Cairns, Robert's journey culminated in the acquisition of J & R Refrigeration in 2001, a company he has proudly led to present day.
As an owner and manager, he hope our commitment to always striving for the best outcome for all our staff in both personally and professionally. Always encouraging, maintaining, and enforcing a Safety-First culture in every aspect of our business. Workwise it's a very challenging industry, continually advancing in energy efficiency innovation and BMS (Building Management System) advancements in capability and management strategies. Technology continues to improve and change the landscape of the industry ahead.
Outside of the demanding industry landscape, Robert finds solace and joy in spending time with his family. Whether he's hitting the golf course or enjoying quality time with his wife and two boys, aged 21 and 18, family remains the cornerstone of Robert's motivation and happiness. They are his constant source of support and inspiration, driving him forward in both his personal and professional endeavours.
