Bernard Moore

Bernard Moore is a highly experienced building inspector that came to the inspection industry with over 14 years of construction experience as a carpenter and supervisor. Bernard has 29 years of building inspection experience and has held supervisory roles during his employment with King County. Bernard holds several ICC certifications including Building Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Plumbing inspector, and Commercial Energy Inspector. He is a contract employee for Kolke Consulting Group, Inc. providing building inspections on an as-needed basis. When Bernard is not making sure buildings are safe, he enjoys playing guitar in a jazz band, camping, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Bob Johnston

Bob Johnston is an electrical plans examiner for the city of Bellevue and has been in this position for over 26 years. Prior to working at the city, Bob was an electrician and contractor in the private sector. Bob became a contract employee for Kolke Consulting Group, Inc. when a client adopted some specific city of Bellevue codes that necessitated specific electrical review and inspection. KCG was fortunate to be able to include Bob on their review and inspection team to provide full services for this client. When Bob is not reviewing electrical plans, you can find him fishing, skiing, or mountain biking.

Brenda O'Neill

Brenda O'Neill is a professional engineer with technical ability and a strong business background. Brenda has an excellent command of standard engineering practices for site development, transportation, and drainage within the Pacific Northwest region. Her experience includes preparation of engineering plans and specifications, cost estimates, as well as hydraulic reports that include water quality, detention, and backwater analysis. Brenda has worked on a variety of projects in aviation, civic/municipal, education, and transportation. Some of her notable projects at KPFF Consulting Engineers include Maersk/UP Site Development in Tacoma and Terminal 91-Pier 91 Berths C & D in Seattle. Other projects from her work with Reid Middleton, Inc. include Fairmount Elementary for the Mukilteo School District and the Central Washington University Campus at Edmonds Community College. Brenda is a contract employee for Kolke Consulting Group, Inc. performing plan reviews and site inspections as the Development Engineer for the Town of Beaux Arts Village. Brenda enjoys gardening, cooking, boating, and reading clubs.

Crystal Kolke

Crystal Kolke is a Certified Building Official and Plans Examiner through the International Code Council and her plan review experience spans over 25 years. Crystal's architectural degree coupled with years working for structural engineering firms established a strong foundation for reviewing building plans. Her expertise in fire- and life-safety, structural, accessibility, and energy code issues has proven desirable for the jurisdiction needing technical experience to supplement or complete their building department. Crystal also supports architects by providing code analyses that are understandable and educational. She provides practical interpretations for complex issues. Crystal incorporated Kolke Consulting Group, Inc. in 1998 in order to support the needs of local jurisdictions by providing complete plan review and inspection services utilizing contract employees for specific tasks and subconsultants to provide interdisciplinary review resources. Her project experience includes all occupancies and types of construction including commercial, residential, high-rise, mixed-use, tenant improvements, retail, educational, multi-family, single-family, institutional, assembly, hazardous, warehouse, storage, and retrofits. Some of her notable projects include the Bravern high-rise towers (Bellevue), Renton Middle School (Newcastle), Avalon Bay Communities Mixed-Use Development (Newcastle), the Family Village at Issaquah - a YMCA Community, Discovery West Mixed-Use Development Buildings A-F (Issaquah), and Legacy Mercer Island Mixed-Use Development. When Crystal does not have her nose in a code book, you can find her cooking, entertaining, hiking, kayaking, barging, or wine tasting.

John Greenlaw

John Greenlaw is a professional mechanical engineer and vice president at The Greenbusch Group, Inc. John as owned and operated his mechanical engineering firm for over 26 years. His specialties include HVAC and mechanical system design, sustainable design solutions, chilled water and physical plant systems, building control system troubleshooting, and building commissioning. John is a LEED Accredited Professional and he manages a team of engineers that provide mechanical and plumbing plan reviews as a subconsultant for Kolke Consulting Group, Inc. When not showcasing his knowledge and experience in the mechanical design industry, John enjoys socializing, lap swimming, reading, gardening, and riding/driving/repairing motorcycles and cars.

Paul Crocker

Paul Crocker is one of the highly regarded engineers at Reid Middleton, Inc. that provides structural engineering plan review as a subconsultant for Kolke Consulting Group, Inc. Paul has over 18 years of experience in designing and leading structural projects. These include traditional buildings, high-security facilities for the military and power industries, schools, and infrastructure projects. In addition to new construction design, Paul has extensive experience with the upgrade and expansion of existing facilities. Paul leads a team of engineers to provide complete structural designs in addition to well thought-out plan reviews. When Paul is not designing structures or reviewing plans, he is usually guiding one of his children's scout groups, cheering at their soccer games, or sneaking in a few mile run.

Russel Cahoon

Russel Cahoon is an accomplished building inspector that has an extensive background in the construction industry. Russ owned a heating contractor company and brought that experience to the 18 years of inspection experience he possesses. He has performed advanced-level building, plumbing, and mechanical inspections during his employment with several local jurisdictions. Russ is currently semi-retired, but provides inspections for Kolke Consulting Group, Inc. as a contract employee when he is not traveling, hunting, fishing, or playing ice hockey.

Steven Rainbow

Steven Rainbow is a professional mechanical engineer and is the owner of Rainbow Consulting. Steven has been practicing mechanical engineering for over 22 years. His focus is on mechanical and plumbing design for commercial and small public works projects. His resume includes restaurants, schools, park projects, and office buildings. Steven has provided mechanical and plumbing plan review services for Kolke Consulting Group, Inc. since 2005. In his spare time, Steven enjoys hiking, football, and time away with his family.
