Angela has over 20 years experience in soft furnishings. For 15 years she ran her own business making curtains, blinds, swags, pelmets and even curtaining for four poster beds.She joined LilyMatthews 3 years ago and now supervises the team. Her level of skill is second to none, her attention to detail impeccable and her perfectionism clear to see in everything that leaves the workshop.
Taught to sew by her mother, Jane Cowdry made curtains for many years for friends, family and her own home before setting up LilyMatthews in 2009. Initially working by herself, she quickly gained a reputation for beautiful hand-sewn curtains and blinds and great customer service. On word of mouth alone the business grew rapidly and she expanded the brand to include an online range of soft furnishings and outdoor all weather items to cope with British summers. The company now has a team of makers.
‘Rebecca, ‘Bex', is a fully trained curtain, blind and cushion maker and also a highly experienced administrator. Bex oversees all projects from the initial enquiry to dispatch/delivery and customer after care. This includes the arrival and checking of fabrics, timetabling of work, delivery dates and deadlines and cross referencing and checking everything Jane does!
