I started my professional career as a web designer in 1999 back in Nashville, Tennessee, in the music industry. As my career progressed, so did a natural shift towards UX. In 2004, I was introduced to UX through my Web Director at Gibson Guitar, Cassie Clouse. She showed me how to use data to inform my design. She was working on her PhD in Human Factors. That was the beginning for me, and it forever changed how I viewed and approached design. I've been a UX practitioner since... In 2014, I relocated my family to the Bay Area, continuing my work in product. I'm constantly learning, evolving and growing as a UX strategist, interaction and visual designer, and leader. I enjoy developing solutions to the problems that face our users, and to me, the conversations surrounding these problems are what really inspire me.
