Maggie Lynn

Maggie is responsible for communications, organizing events, and cultivating partnerships with funders, communities and organizations. She studied Geology and Geophysics at Yale University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Policy, Planning and Management at the University of Southern Maine. Prior to joining LELT in 2018, Maggie worked in a variety of conservation and outdoor recreation roles across Maine and served three AmeriCorps terms with Maine Conservation Corps. Born and raised in northern Maine, Maggie lives in Bridgton and enjoys playing ice hockey, gardening, and moving through the outdoors on skis, in boats, by bike & foot.

Matt Markot

Matt holds a bachelor's degree from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Prior to Loon Echo Matt worked for the Nature Conservancy in Maine as their Northern Maine Lands Steward, served as an AmeriCorps Environmental Steward with the Maine Natural Areas Program, and as an environmental educator at Kieve-Wavus. Matt has worked in a variety of roles for Loon Echo since 2017 and as Executive Director since 2019. Matt lives in Bridgton and enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and paddling.

Otter Pond

Otter Pond Conservation Project - LELT is working with a private landowner to permanently conserve 180 acres with frontage on Kansas Rd. and Otter Pond in Bridgton. With over 70 acres of wetlands and habitat for rare and threatened species like the New England Bluet, the property has been a high priority for conservation for years.
