Olde England Roofs is a Banbury based company, that thatches throughout Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. Originally established in 1992 by Paul Watling, the company succeeded in becoming, four times winner of the OBBMTA, best thatched house competition. The company is now run by Michael Powell, along with the help of his team, of highly skilled craftsman. Michael took over the company in 2009, after completing his apprenticeship and working with Paul for 8 years. During this time, Michael was guided by Paul learning the different styles and techniques of thatching to become a master thatcher. Paul also instilled, his ethos of maintaining the highest standards of thatching and how to preserve, the integrity and charm of each project...
