Michelle began her hairdressing journey when she joined the company in 1990, when it was named Philip Hair Studio. Upon qualifying as a hairdresser word spread of her talent and clients would flock to see her. A creative force to be reckoned with, Michelle quickly worked her way through the ranks and became salon manager of McCarthy's Ebbw Vale in 2000 where she takes an active role in the running of the company as a whole.
Management hasn't stopped our leading lady from showing the hairdressing industry what she's made of. She has been involved in numerous photoshoots and competitions. She has even made the finals for the Clynol Young Trendsetter Award and The L'Oreal Colour Trophy in the past. She is also highly instrumental in the local community and has styled various fashion shows and been involved in many charity events.
Despite all that she has achieved in her astounding career, Michelle loves nothing more than learning new skills and is a regular attendee of Clynol's courses at the ASK Academy in London.
Now qualified as a trainer, Michelle now works to pass on her skills and knowledge to the juniors of McCarthy's. She trains in the hope that someday one of these bright sparks will have as bright a career as she has.
Paige Joined McCarthy's in October 2013 she has completed her Customer Service Qualification and her NVQ 2 and will shortly be working towards her NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing.
Simone is McCarthy's leading lady at our Blackwood salon. With over 25 years experience, Simone really knows the industry well. Upon qualifying as a hairdresser, Simone joined the McCarthy's team where she started off life as a stylist before graduating to manageress.
During her time at McCarthy's Simone has been on quite a journey. She has achieved NVQ Level 3 and attended Ystrad Mynach College to further train at foundation degree level and obtained a PGCE. She now uses this qualification to support and coach not only her own team but the teams of colleagues at McCarthy's Ebbw Vale and Crickhowell salons.
She has also been lucky enough to train down in London at Clynol's ASK Academy and take part in many salon based course which are also ran by the hairdressing brand. She feels that in a fast changing industry which moves with fashion trends it's important to keep on top of these things.
Simone loves working at McCarthy's and has a strong based clientele who have also become close friends of hers over the years. She is lucky enough that she still enjoys coming to work every day just as much as she did 25 years ago as each day is an exciting new challenge for her.
With a wealth of hairdressing experience going back 16 years, Tina joined the McCarthy's salon group 12 years ago. And what a ride it has been!
During this time Tina has achieved a lot and has become an integral member of the team.
A creative force to be reckoned with, Tina loves to create occasion hair because it gives her freedom of expression like no other.
Qualified to NVQ Level 3, Tina has undertaken photoshoots and even travelled down to London to train at the famous Clynol ASK Academy!
