Dr. Jason F. Kirksey is the Vice President for Access and Community Impact at Oklahoma State University (OSU). He also holds the rank of Associate Professor in the OSU Department of Political Science. Previously, Kirksey held the Hannah D. Atkins Endowed Chair for Political Science and Government Information as an assistant and associate professor in the OSU Department of Political Science from 1995-2010 and was President of the Oklahoma Political Science Association (2002). Kirksey has served as PI (principal investigator) for approximately $10M in National Science Foundation (NSF) funding at OSU. During his tenure as Vice President, he also provided administrative oversight of an additional $11M in NSF and U.S. Department of Education TRIO grant projects. The four TRIO programs account for approximately $5M in federal grants serving first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities. Most recently, Kirksey serves as co-PI on a $3.75M U.S. Department of Energy grant in the OSU College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology. Throughout his tenure as Vice President at OSU, Kirksey has raised approximately $20M in private, corporate, and foundation support to advance the university's land-grant mission. He holds a BA in both Political Science and Economics (1989) and an MA in Political Science (1991) from OSU, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of New Orleans (1997). He is also a 2014 graduate of Class XXVII of Leadership Oklahoma. Kirksey is a native of Denver, Colorado. Dr. Jason F. Nate C. Todd is the Assistant Vice President for Access and Community Impact at Oklahoma State University. Todd oversees the Inclusive Excellence, Support, and Engagement unit within the division, which includes the Retention Initiative for Student Excellence Program (RISE), the Inclusion Leadership Program (ILP), and the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA). Todd has served as a higher education administrator and practitioner at four higher education institutions across Oklahoma. He has successfully developed and sustained best practices and policies that foster an environment where students, faculty, and staff can all thrive. Todd has developed recruitment strategies, retention resources, and alumni engagement efforts, contributing to robust academic programming and research. In collaboration with community stakeholders, he has secured endowed scholarships and sustainable career pathways for underrepresented, underserved, and marginalized students. As a proud son and brother of military veterans, he is grateful for his work with the Cameron University community and partners to develop scholarships for military dependents. Additionally, he has worked with external and internal industry partners in developing training and benchmarks to facilitate inclusive cultures to assist companies in increasing employee retention and sustainable recruitment pathways. Todd previously served as Dean of Student Success and Equity at Tulsa Community College (TCC), responsible for implementing student services across multiple departments. Todd has also served as an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Compliance Coordinator and a Designated School Official (DSO), which handles the F-1 visa category for international students to enter the United States. One of the many highlights of his tenure at TCC is establishing a strong "deaf culture" for the domestic and international student community. Todd firmly believes in community and interdepartmental collaboration to cultivate supporting environments for students. During his time with OSUIT, Todd worked with businesses on talent recruitment and retention of diverse employees, including launching a multi-state recruitment and sponsorship initiative, where students received an education sponsored by the company. As a community member, Todd understands that student success does not stop at the college door but extends into the community. He has served as a board member for the City of Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce, Tulsa Reading Partners, Booker T Washington Foundation for Excellence, and Latimer Cooksey Arts & Cultural Foundation. Nate Todd holds a BA in Political Science from Cameron University and an MS in College Student Personnel Services from Arkansas State University. He is a Doctoral Candidate at Oral Roberts University in High Education Administration. Nate is an Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. member and a Fellow of the African American Leader Academy Tulsa. He is married to Marcia, an OSU alumnus. They have four brilliant children--Luke, Emilia, Paul, and Luis.
