Alex Lloyd


Alice Dean

Alice joined the Oxford AHSN in July 2019. She has more than ten years' experience as an executive assistant working at board and director level in the NHS, higher education and publishing.

Alison Gowdy

Alison has over 15 years' experience in the NHS working in senior acute operational roles. She has extensive experience liaising with clinical teams and commissioners, working across organisations to improve patient pathways and in delivering change management programmes.

Amy Izzard

Amy supports the Chief Operating Officer and programme office to ensure the delivery of the Oxford AHSN's programmes. She is the main HR link between Oxford AHSN and our host Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Amy also works closely with the Head of Communications on a variety of projects.

Dr James Kent

Dr James Kent took over from Fiona Wise as the Executive Lead of the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care System (ICS) in spring 2020. He is also Accountable Officer of the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).

Dr Minoo Irani

Minoo co-chairs the Oversight Group for Community Involvement and Workforce Innovation. He is Medical Director of Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. A consultant paediatrician, Minoo has experience of working on projects and committees within the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, General Medical Council, Department of Health and Berkshire Research Ethics Committee.

Neil Macdonald

Neil's second stint at Buckinghamshire Healthcare began in July 2013 as Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Surgery and Critical Care, becoming Chief Operating Officer in April 2015. Neil was appointed interim Chief Executive Officer in March 2018, taking on the role on a permanent basis in January 2019.

Nigel Keen

Nigel Keen chairs the Oxford AHSN Board. He is also Chairman of Syncona Partners, a company funded by The Wellcome Trust which was founded in 2012 and operates as an evergreen investment company, taking an active role in identifying, supporting and developing technologies with the potential significantly to impact the healthcare market of the future. He is also Chairman of Oxford University Innovation. His career has encompassed venture capital, industry and banking. He has a degree in engineering from Cambridge University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and has been involved in the formation and development of high technology businesses for more than thirty years. He is also the Chairman of the AIM listed company, Deltex Medical.
