Prior to law school, Amy obtained an accounting degree and successfully passed the CPA exam in Illinois. While, she was never a practicing accountant, this knowledge allows her to understand complicated financial aspects of her legal work, particularly in the area of divorce. She was also licensed in all four lines of insurance in Illinois... Amy spent the first five years of her legal career working for Morrison & Foerster in New York representing Fortune 500 clients in billion dollar lawsuits. While at Morrison & Foester, Amy learned valuable litigation skills from some of the best lawyers in the country. She also tackled many difficult pro bono projects, primarily in family and housing court...
