The Project Commercial Operation Date (PCOD) was officially declared on 18 October 2011.Shuweihat S2 IWPP, a Greenfield development project has a generating capacity of 1507 Megawatts (MW) of electricity of power and 100 Million Imperial Gallons a Day (MIGD) of desalinated water.
