S&J EXCAVATION

The Hovey Group of companies was established in 1988 by best friends and brother in laws John Hovey and Syd Wright starting out under the banner of S&J Excavations. They began the business with one kato excavator and a Mack R600 Prime mover, Syd's pride and joy. Syd being the mechanic and John working the machinery. With the support from the farmers and other local contractors in the Brunswick and Bunbury areas, It wasn't long before S & J Excavations gained a knowledgeable and trusted reputation in the excavating industry. Now with the purchase of a second excavator and loader the company's Brunswick yard was getting too small, and with the brothers looking to the future and the idea of supplying the local community and industries with Premix concrete. It was time to move. With the rapid growth of Australind, the brothers felt that this will be the new location of S&J Excavations and its new sister company Australind Premix.
