Albert Silvera oversees Property Management and Leasing for Surrey Equities.
Albert spent his early business career in the international trade sector. He has transacted various trade projects in Mexico, Canada, Australia, Europe, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, China.
Albert joined Surrey Equities in 2006. He has managed and leased shopping centers throughout the east coast, mid-west and the southwest region of the US. Some of Albert's management tasks are overseeing daily property management, budgeting, tenant build outs, ground up construction, and sourcing property improvements.
As the Director of Leasing at Surrey Equities, Albert is responsible for all deal making
throughout the company's portfolio. He has successfully negotiated deals with many regional and national retailers, and as a result, has created an extensive network of brokers and retail professionals.
After a career in industrial engineering and manufacturing and importing, Allan joined Surrey Equities in 2007. For the past twelve years Allan has trained and become proficient in several analytical tools including, Excel, Argus DCF, Argus Enterprise and Realogics.
Edward Silvera, a principal of Surrey Equities, has over 25 years of experience in real estate acquisition, leasing, management, disposition, and execution of commercial real estate transactions.
In 2004, Edward and his father Leon, founded Surrey Equites. Since its inception, Surrey has acquired over 4,500,000 square feet of real estate spread over 13 states.
Mr. Silvera earned a B.S. in Marketing from Hofstra University.
Joseph has 16 years of experience in various fields from public-private partnerships to corporate leadership and brings a diverse skillset to Surrey Equities. Having spent the last 8 years in operations and management, Joseph's focus is on investment strategy execution.
Joseph has a BA in City Planning and Public Policy from Rutgers University.
Leon Silvera's diverse career has given him the opportunity to be involved in a variety of entrepreneurial ventures over the past 35 years, starting with his family's clothing manufacturing business. In 1987 he sold the company and started a chain of retail stores, which eventually expanded to 35 locations.
Mr. Silvera's real estate projects have included a diverse array of property development. Over the past 35 years, he has built 4 warehouses and 35 oceanfront condominiums, in addition to investing in and managing numerous retail and residential real estate properties. In 2004, he joined with his son Edward to start Surrey Equities, LLC, which targets the acquisition and development of retail properties. During its first 18 months of operations, the firm has acquired over $75 million in assets. Recently, He has been involved in the acquisition of shopping centers in Texas, Connecticut Massachusetts. His current projects include a 600,000 square foot, mixed use project in Philadelphia as well as the development of a 100 unit residential- commercial ocean front property.
Mr. Silvera is a graduate of Brooklyn College.
