Anna is currently the head athletic trainer at Jefferson Academy. Originally from San Diego, she was recruited to play Division 1 Beach Volleyball at Grand Canyon University. While at GCU, she received her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training in 2020, earning Cum Laude, and completing her academic career as class representative of the Athletic Training Program. Anna has worked with many sports at all different levels, including collegiate men's basketball, rugby, lacrosse, and other sports found in school settings.
Anna's background in sports and her passion for medicine is what drives her to succeed in the athletic training community. For this reason, she has pushed herself to work in many difficult clinical settings that have forced her to grow into the medical professional she is today.
In her free time, Anna continues to compete in beach volleyball tournaments within Colorado and loves to try new things, go camping, and exercise with her new puppy.

Michael, a founding partner at both Synapse Physical Therapy and Impact Sports Performance, is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist that brings 30 years of experience in the field of sports medicine and rehabilitation to Synapse PT.
A native of Chicago, Michael has been fortunate to work with all levels of athletes from the weekend warrior to professional athletes. Prior to this he was an Athletic Trainer with the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL for 6 years, additionally he has worked with teams from the NBA, MLB, MLS and NFL.
He continues to serve as the Director of Medical Services for USA Rugby, a role he has held since 2005. He has taken part in the last 2 Rugby World Cups in 2007 and 2011. He also served on the Sports Medicine & Science Committee for US Figure Skating. Michael has been active with legislation in the athletic training profession. He also teaches courses in anatomy and rehabilitation throughout the country and serves as an expert witness in sports medicine and head injuries. Michael received a B.S. degree in Athletic Training from Southern Illinois University and a M.S. degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois.
Michael and his wife Amy, a physician at the Children's Hospital Colorado, reside in Aurora and enjoy spending time with their 5 children.

Nicole has been a physical therapist practicing in an outpatient orthopedic sports setting for almost 10 years. She is originally from Ohio and graduated from the University of Toledo in 2006 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. Due to her commitment to learning and providing the highest level of patient care, she obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012. She attended Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago Illinois, while continuing to work full-time in a leading orthopedic practice.
Nicole has always been active in sports including soccer, basketball, softball, and running. She became a physical therapist due to her passion for helping athletes recover from sports injuries. She specializes in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions including but not limited to: post-surgical, athletic, and overuse injuries. Additionally she works collaboratively with patients, parents, and coaches of athletes to help prevent future athletic injuries. In physical therapy treatments, Nicole places an emphasis on manual therapy techniques including dry needling and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, coupled with individualized exercise programs and patient education to ensure long-term success for her patients.
Outside of work Nicole enjoys teaching yoga, traveling, climbing 14ers, hiking, weight lifting, running, skiing, and other outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.
