Brittany Harper joined Blakely Financial Services in 2019 as our Operations Associate. She handles all aspects of operations for the firm and has become an integral part of the team managing operations and the office.
Brittany grew up in the Bay Area where she worked in management for luxury retail. When she sets her mind to something, you can bet she makes it happen! Everything she does she infuses with great purpose and integrity. If it's worth doing, she's going to make sure she does it well, down to the finishing touches.
She works hard, and when she's done for the day, you'll find her resting hard too. She enjoys reading, shopping, volunteering at her church, and watching Draymond Green help the Golden State Warriors win championships!
Kate is passionate about all aspects of wealth management including research, portfolio management, and retirement and financial planning. She works alongside Kurt in ensuring our clients receive exemplary service for their financial planning needs. Kate joined Blakely Financial Services in 2016 after working as an investment accountant for a global investment management firm.
She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Chico. She has both her Series 7 (held with LPL Financial) and Series 66 (held with LPL and Blakely Financial Services) licenses and her life and variable contracts insurance licenses through the State of California. She is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. The CFP® marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. CFP® professionals also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Rules of Conduct and Financial Planning Practice Standards.
Kate was born and raised in Stockton and has always been proud to call this city home. When she is not in the office you can find her boating on the delta, trying out new recipes at home, and trying to save every stray animal she comes across.
Kurt Blakely is a 1980 graduate of the University of the Pacific's School of Business. Soon after graduating, Kurt pursued his passion of the financial markets, economics, and being of service to other people and began his career in Stockton as an investment advisor with the New York Stock Exchange Firm - Paine Webber.
In 1991, Kurt founded Blakely Financial Services. Being independent allowed the firm to focus on the specific needs of his clients and provide independent objective advice.
In 2015, Kurt founded Blakely Financial Services Inc., a Registered Investment Advisory Firm which allowed our firm to serve as a fiduciary when providing advisory services to our clients.
Kurt is a past member of the Executive Advisory Council of the Eberhart School of Business, Past President of the Athletic Foundation at the University of the Pacific, two-term Past President of the Dameron Hospital Foundation, and former Trustee of the Haggin Museum.
Year after year, Kurt refers to his greatest accomplishment as "having the privilege to serve clients for nearly 40 years."
Kurt's greatest joy in life is his family: his wife Kaye, adult children: Carter and Brooke, and her husband, Kevin. Frequent family travel and vacations usually lead to golf, hiking, exercise, and fun!
Nora has been with Blakely Financial Services since 2022 and is the friendly voice you hear on the other line when you call our office. She assists with day to day operations at the office and provides excellent client facing service.
Nora grew up in the Bay Area, but now resides in Lodi. Nora loves to travel and previously worked as a flight attendant for several years. She has been to 49 states, and all over Latin America, and Europe. She also had a career in the fitness industry.
Outside of work Nora enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three children, and traveling with them.
