Celeste Kronenberger

Chase Price

Mr. Price is a senior associate attorney with the firm. He has represented individuals and businesses throughout the State of Texas. Mr. Price primarily practices civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury, contractual disputes, and insurance-related litigation. Mr. Price joined Castagna Scott, LLP in October of 2022. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Price was an associate attorney at the Fort Worth-based firm, Blaies & Hightower, LLP, where he primarily represented clients as defendants, but also represented plaintiffs. Throughout his career, Mr. Price has defended hundreds of cases in areas including premises liability, transportation litigation, commercial litigation, oil field accidents, contractual disputes, and bad faith insurance litigation. He has also recovered millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Price received a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude with honors, from Texas Tech University. He received his law degree, magna cum laude with a concentration in health law, from the Texas Tech University School of Law. Prior to his final year of law school, Mr. Price received his temporary law license which he utilized to assist indigent clients for the Legal Aid Society of Lubbock and Tech Law Civil Practice Clinic-handling a variety of matters from protective orders to employment discrimination. While in law school, Mr. Price drafted the article, All Things Are Bigger in Texas: Due Process Issues of Area Quarantine, which was published in the Journal of Biosecurity, Biosafety, and Biodefense Law in 2018.

Chris Scott

Mr. Scott has defended businesses and individuals throughout the State of Texas. He has always been a defense lawyer, primarily practicing in the areas of personal injury defense, representing clients in lawsuits involving automobile and trucking accidents, premises liability matters, construction accidents, products liability cases, and insurance bad faith claims. He worked with the State Bar of Texas, first as an Assistant General Counsel enforcing the State Bar's lawyer disciplinary rules, and then as the State Bar's corporate counsel. Mr. Scott formed Castagna Scott LLP in January 2012. Mr. Scott was affiliated with Connolly & Castagna, L.L.P. since its formation in November 2001. Prior to that he was affiliated with the firm of Black & Connolly, L.L.P. From February 1997 to April 1999 he worked with the State Bar of Texas prosecuting attorney disciplinary matters and acting as corporate counsel. He began his law career in Corpus Christi in 1986, where he worked with various defense firms and then was a partner in the law firm of Chaves, Gonzales & Hoblit, L.L.P. Mr. Scott received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1986, where he was a member of the Order of the Barons. He obtained his B.S. from the School of Communications of the University of Texas in Austin in 1979. Mr. Scott was born in Houston, Texas in 1958. He currently resides in Austin with his wife and son.

Chuck Shiver

Mr. Shiver's primary area of practice is personal injury defense, with a concentration on transportation defense, premises liability, products liability, and general liability matters. Mr. Shiver is an avid reader and history buff, and an is an expert on all matters involving WWII.

Daryl Hayes

Mr. Hayes is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law. He received that certification in 2010. He has represented individuals and businesses throughout the State of Texas, including Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Waco, Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley. His primary area of practice is personal injury defense, with a concentration on trucking and transportation litigation, as well as premises liability, products liability, construction litigation, and general liability. Mr. Hayes joined the law firm of Castagna Scott LLP in June 2018. He began his practice in El Paso in 1994, as a sole practitioner. In 2001 he joined a highly respected defense firm in San Antonio, where he was a partner. He then opened his own firm and practiced in San Antonio and Abilene. He worked for plaintiffs' firms for a short while, then, confirming his passion is defense work, joined our firm. Mr. Hayes received his J.D. from The Texas Tech University School of Law in 1994. He was the recipient of a Board of Regents Full Scholarship for all three years. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Angelo State University in 1991, with a major in Finance and Real Estate. Mr. Hayes was born in Abilene, grew up in San Antonio, and is now very happy to call Austin his home. He lives here with his wife and son.

Gerry Lowry

Ms. Lowry has represented individuals and businesses throughout the State of Texas. Her primary area of practice is personal injury defense, premises liability, products liability, and general liability. She has worked on complex matters involving product liability, toxic torts, environmental, class actions and commercial disputes, including antitrust and labor and employment issues. In addition, Gerry has experience with industrial processes, construction and heavy equipment. Her product liability defense work has included cases involving medical products such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, contraceptive therapies, anesthetics, latex gloves and OTC products. She has also defended product liability matters involving chemicals, saws, pumps, valves, motors, ladders, wheels, tires and automobiles. Her toxic tort work has included silica, asbestos and benzene exposure cases. Ms. Lowry has extensive trial experience, being named in 2015 as a Trial Ace (top 50 litigators in the US) by Law 360. She has directed multiple bellwether trial teams in difficult jurisdictions across the country, and has tried approximately fifty cases in venues such as Jefferson County, Nueces County, Matagorda County, Brazoria County and the Southern District of Texas. She has also represented Fortune 100 companies in various venues across the country. She has been admitted Pro Hac Vice in numerous state and federal courts, including courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Louisiana, Nevada and Connecticut. Through her extensive experience in product liability, environmental, mass torts, class actions and personal injury work, Ms. Lowry has developed specialized knowledge and resources in key medical and scientific fields including cardiology, neurology, nephrology, pulmonology, endocrinology, and orthopedic surgery. She also has expertise in matters involving, toxicology, epidemiology, biomechanics and engineering.

Lynn Castagna

Ms. Castagna has represented individuals and businesses throughout the State of Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Waco, Midland and the Rio Grande Valley. Her primary area of practice is personal injury defense, with a concentration on trucking and transportation litigation, premises liability, products liability, HOA litigation, construction litigation, and general liability. Ms. Castagna's practice also includes handling numerous cases on appeal. She has argued cases on appeal to the Second District Court of Appeals in Fort Worth; the Third District Court of Appeals in Austin; and the Fourth District Court of Appeals in San Antonio. She is an author of the articles Preservation of Error and Texas Liquor Liability, which were presented as part of the Professional Development Program sponsored by the State Bar of Texas. She was an author and presenter of Preparation of a Commercial Truck Driver for Deposition, at the 2013 State Bar of Texas CLE seminar entitled Prosecuting or Defending a Trucking or Auto Accident Case.

Steven Loomis

Steven Loomis has experience representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of civil litigation, including commercial disputes, employment law, construction law, personal injury, products liability, and trucking and transportation cases. He has handled trials and appeals throughout Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Midland/Odessa, and more. Mr. Loomis recently served as a senior trial attorney for Travelers Insurance and Farmers Insurance for many years; he had previously been with the firms of Smith & Polewski, PC in Dallas and then was a shareholder in Polewski-Loomis, PC Mr. Loomis received his J.D., cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law in 1995. While there, he was a Notes and Comments editor for Baylor Law Review and received the Constitutional Law Scholar award. He was also a member of the Order of Barristers. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Baylor University. Steven Loomis was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1995. He has been admitted to practice before the Northern and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Courts in Texas. Personal Mr. Loomis was born in Waco, Texas. He moved to Austin in 2001, where he now resides with his wife.
