John T. Kuznia is the company's owner and principal consultant. He has over 35 years experience in business administration as a CFO and Human Resource Director. He earned his CPA while working for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Albany, and has held senior management positions with companies in several industries, including professional services, publishing, medical device manufacturing, and nonprofit human services. He is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), as well as SHRM-SCP. The organizations in which John has served range in size from a 1000+ employee division of a Fortune 500 company to a 30-person high technology start-up. In addition to his role as a finance executive, he has served as HR Director responsible for aligning critical human resource initiatives with corporate strategies. Among other noteworthy accomplishments in the human resource field, John: Led a project team to implement self-directed work teams throughout a medical device manufacturing plant, and prepared a Team Implementation Handbook to address concepts of performance measurement, staffing, appraisal, compensation and training. Administered self-insured health plan and pension plans totaling over $12 million annually. Was Trustee and founding member of a large, independent Workers Compensation Trust. Developed Employee Handbooks, Job Descriptions, Performance Management systems and Compensation structures. Assumed, on numerous occasions, interim CFO and HR Director positions while recruiting and training permanent replacements. Delivered numerous training programs in harassment, performance management, financial concepts, and facilitated Board of Directors training and retreats. John has also served as an Adjunct Instructor in Human Resource Management at the Sage Graduate School, and as a guest lecturer at UAlbany. He is currently a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Capital Region HR Association.
