Drew Linn - Chief Strategy Officer

Fun fact: Drew was part of the 2000 recount team in Palm Beach County overseeing the hanging chads. Drew Linn has built a decades-long career and reputation as an innovator and entrepreneur. He currently serves as Chief Strategy Office at Counterpart, as well as CFO of his family's real estate development firm. He also serves as a strategic advisor to two technology product startup firms. Drew has led several technology businesses and products throughout his career, including two IT consulting companies, a software development firm, an internet marketing and website development firm, a fundraising platform, as well as two real estate development and services firms. He has also provided support to over a dozen local startup businesses. In addition to being passionate about his work, he volunteers and serves on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Indy Chamber, and Techpoint, as well as serves as Vice Chair and Treasurer of Indy Chamber's Business Ownership Initiative. He is a fun-loving and passionate individual who enjoys traveling, being active, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Ian Barthel

Fun Fact: Ian was consistently ranked in the top 0.5% in Call of Duty every year since COD:Ghosts Ian Barthel grew up in Mooresville, Indiana, his entire life. He then originally attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to be a Biomedical Engineer. After a year, he decided he did not enjoy it and switched to Computer Science, and hasn't looked back since. In college, he was the Vice President of our eSports club. Ian spends most of his free time playing in Intramural's or just casual basketball pickup games, along with playing Madden with his roommate.

Jade Axline

Jade Axline primarily implements HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript. She performs usability audits for web applications to improve the end user experience. Jade also provides clients with visual web app designs to showcase design and usability improvements. Jade lives in Fishers with her pup Kosmo (a Voltron reference). She likes training and hanging out with Kosmo, (aerial) yoga, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, drawing, and playing video games and tabletop games. She also spends time volunteering for Wolf Park and taking photos for animal shelters.

Jason Bourg

Jason Bourg is the Chief Technology Officer and visionary leader of the Counterpart team. As one of Counterpart's first employees, he worked side by side with the founding partners building the success of the company and positioning the organization as one of Indiana's longest-standing software development companies. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jason began his career with Counterpart immediately following his graduation from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He started out as a Software Quality Assurance professional before moving to the role of Project Manager. With the acumen for identifying a client's needs and developing cutting-edge solutions, he quickly progressed within the company, serving as Lead Project Manager and Software Architect for many of the Counterpart clients. He views his personal and professional life as one in the same. On his first date with his wife, they swung by the Counterpart office. When he made the decision to propose to her, where did he do it? The Counterpart lobby. Jason enjoys gaming, spending time with his family and is a passionate manual transmission enthusiast.

John Davis

John Davis, a founder of WDD (now Counterpart), continues his career within the organization as a software developer. He enjoys building relationships with clients and the sense of accomplishment that comes with building a custom solution that exceeds the client's expectations. John's detail-oriented nature helps when determining the needs of the clients, reviewing development requirements and building/creating their custom solution. Prior to the establishment of WDD (now Counterpart) in 1993, John was a software developer at AT&T Graphic Software Labs where he met the other two Counterpart founders. John obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. He went on to get his Masters of Science degree from Purdue University and launched his software development career at AT&T Bell Laboratories. Outside of the office, John enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with his family.

Loren Cronin

Design Director Loren Cronin became interested in web design at a young age. She grew up building websites with Yahoo Geocities while learning HTML and CSS. Her love for design and front-end development continued, which led her to earn a bachelor's degree in web design and interactive media from The Art Institute of Indianapolis in 2012. Loren began her career as a freelance developer at Plow Digital before becoming a full-time developer and designer for MediaFuel in 2014. She worked there as Creative Director for two years before joining our team at Counterpart. Loren designs and builds beautiful and intuitive user interfaces. She loves creating designs that solve problems and watching them come to life on the web. Outside the office, Loren enjoys spending time with her husband, two pugs, Australian shepherd, and Conure. She also regularly volunteers as a dog walker at the Humane Society for Hamilton County.

Matt James

Fun fact: Matt has been a member of Circle City Curling Club since 2015. Matt James is an accomplished Senior Software Developer and partner at Counterpart. While managing the organization with his partners, Matt continues to develop software full-time. Never one to be caught unprepared, Matt devotes significant effort to the planning of each new project. His keenly intuitive mind allows him to anticipate issues and direct the solution to success. The Ball State University alum has always had a knack for innovation. Over the span of his career as a lead developer at Counterpart, Matt has been instrumental in the production of countless applications. He is especially enthusiastic when the project is particularly complex and requires carefully executed steps. Outside of the office, Matt enjoys watching movies, curling, bike riding and all things Star Wars.

Michael Nutt

Spending his whole life in the Indianapolis area and surrounding suburbs, Michael grew up seeking ways to express his love for programming and problem solving in the city booming with tech opportunities. He spent most of his secondary education engrossed in interests like game development, robotics, and microcontroller programming, utilizing his university education at Rose-Hulman Institiute of Technology to transform those interests into career opportunities. When Michael isn't programming at work or working on personal projects, he spends his time enjoying his hobbies which range from playing online games with friends to listening to music to reading interesting fiction novels.

Scott Stevens

Fun fact: Scott is a voracious reader of science fiction novels since he was a kid. (Encouraged by his mother, who also loved them.) Senior Software Developer, Scott Stevens is a seasoned veteran that continues to be a great leader and resource for other developers at Counterpart. Scott is a primary lead on new projects that require complex architecture and new technologies to achieve a successful solution. Scott enjoys the variety of challenges and needs that clients bring to the drawing board. He excels when he has the opportunity to master new platforms and utilize that knowledge to orchestrate the development of high-quality software solutions. Scott's love for computers and technology led him to Purdue University where he obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science. It wasn't until after college that Scott purchased his first personal computer, which was an original IBM PC. A few years later, he purchased an original Apple Macintosh. Since then, Scott uses a computer for most things in life including gaming, reading, personal finances and watching movies.

Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith, a partner at Counterpart, began his career at Counterpart shortly after college. He now maintains a full workload as a Senior Software Developer. Tyler leads the company from his virtual office in TN, juggling dozens of projects for a wide variety of clients. With a passion for learning new skills to meet the needs of the ever-changing world of technology, Tyler never shies away from a challenge. He loves living in a technical world that provides him with the opportunity to bring his software visions to life. Originally from Cleveland, TN, Tyler developed a passion for programming after receiving his first graphing calculator in junior high. At his alma mater, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Tyler obtained a Bachelor's Degree in computer science and continued to immerse himself in the fascinating world of programming. A self-described "geek", Tyler enjoys spending time playing computer games, watching science-fiction and action movies, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.

Zach Cronin

Fun fact: Zach once worked as a caterer at Holiday World and Splashing Safari Zach Cronin graduated from the Art Institute of Indianapolis in 2014. Since then, he has been working to grow as a developer using a wide variety of platforms.
