vyacht.net started in 2012 as a hobby project developed out of my frustration about the lack of hackable, affordable open source solutions for boats. Its still an intense hobby but its run as a small Swedish private stock corporation now... On my First 40.7 with a B&G CND plotter in the nav corner, only log & speed instruments and two small kids on deck sailing the Swedish archipelago requires some focus using only paper charts. With thousands of islands and underwater rocks even far off the coast navigation is always exciting.
