WESTPORT DESIGN

At Westport Design we specialise in all aspects of the design and development of motor craft up to around 200-300ft in length, including commercial and pleasure vessels, marine civil engineering projects, defence development vessels and vehicles. We assist in manufacturing design, undertake condition and in build surveys as well as managing build projects for our clients. We also manufacturing our own range of sport angling boats and so fully understand the commercial implications of the work we undertake... The design work is carried out by Charles Broughton using the latest design tools and manufacturing techniques. Over the years Charles has also developed a network of specialist design engineers that support his work when required. Since graduating from Southampton Institute in 1991 Charles has worked as a naval architect predominantly in the field of design but also in surveying and project managing the build of vessels in steel, aluminium and FRP ranging from RIBs, oil-recovery..
