TIMOTHY CALKINS - Key Persons

Dr. Timothy Calkins - Tim - is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska attending public schools through his graduation from Lincoln Northeast High school in 1982. He attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, graduating with Distinction in 1989. For each of the 30 years since graduation, he has been a part-time faculty member in the Department of Adult Restorative Dentistry at the UNMC-COD, instructing dental students as they treat their patients. Tim is a member of and active in many dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Nebraska Dental Association, the Lincoln District Dental Association, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Fraternity, the Christian Dental Society, and the Capital Dental Study Club. He volunteers at the Nebraska Mission of Mercy dental clinics, the Clinic With a Heart dental clinic and has supported and participated in multiple dental missions both locally and abroad, including the last 5 years helping the underserved in Haiti. Tim is active in his church serving on various boards and committees, and has taught Sunday School and sung in the choir. He has been married to Joni for 31 years. She is an elementary school teacher and together they have three young adult daughters. The entire family loves to travel, follow Husker sports and cheer on the eleven time World Champion St. Louis Cardinals!
