Nick Atkinson

Nick has enjoyed his career as an agent in both the industrial and office sectors since moving back to the North East in 1998. Prior to setting up HTA Real Estate with Russell and Simon he was Director in the National Industrial and Logistics Team at DTZ. Nick has been involved with many of the region's largest industrial developments such as Radial 64 in Washington, Teeslink at Wynyard Park and the region's largest speculative development, Drum Park in Chester le Street. He has experience in dealing with Brownfield divestment projects including consultancy advice to Rio Tinto on the disposal of their 360 acre former aluminium smelting complex in Northumberland. One of Nick's proudest achievements was two years spent with his wife teaching English and Geography in Eritrea, North East Africa, with VSO. Nick keeps himself fit and is a regular surfer at Tynemouth and the beautiful beaches of Northumberland.

Russell Taylor

Russell has spent all his working life within the property sector and has a broad skill base including development consultancy, landlord and tenant and agency work. Russell was a Director of Easter Developments for 11 years having established the North East office. He procured 1.5 million square feet of business / industrial space in the North East in some of the region's prime locations such as Team Valley, Boldon Business Park, Preston Farm and Peterlee as well as providing design and build solutions for Caterpillar UK, Hillary's Blinds, Europa Magnetics and Stannah UK. Prior to this he was an Associate Partner at GVA in Newcastle heading up their industrial agency department. Russell is a keen golfer and sports fanatic with a rugby coaching qualification. He also loves music and plays the drums.

Simon Hill

Simon is a Director of HTA Real Estate after joining from Jones Lang LaSalle where he was a Director responsible for the industrial agency department within the Newcastle office. He has over 30 years' experience in the North East market, specialising in industrial and distribution property. Having previously been employed by Delma Developments (Northern Trust), he has direct development experience as well as his agency expertise. He has advised on the development, letting and funding of some of the highest profile schemes in the North East including Wynyard Park, Turbine Business Park in Sunderland and Foxcover in Seaham. He has extensive experience of providing consultancy advice to the public sector with clients including One NorthEast (in conjunction with the Sub Regional Authorities and the North East Assembly), Northumberland County Council, Darlington Borough Council and North Tyneside Council. Simon is a keen sports fan and coached a local junior football side for 10 years.
