Amy Wright

Amy studied Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam where she qualified in 2021. Most recently her work consisted of mainly community settings which included Intermediate care for adults. This was intensive rehab for patients who had just got home from hospital to get back on their feet quicker. She has worked in the mental health sector of the NHS in both a hospital and community based setting, which helped her to develop specialist skills in mental health to understand people and work with them to achieve goals. Stroke rehab was another sector which Amy found very rewarding and worked to develop neurological rehabilitation skills to assist patients in regaining function and ability for independence. Amy also has a sports massage qualification that is put in to practice everyday at work as she believes a physiotherapist should be hands on. Her previous work experience has consisted of MSK, Respiratory working on a cystic fibrosis ward and paediatrics within the NHS.

Ben Matthew

Since graduating as a physiotherapist in 2014 Ben has worked in several private healthcare settings while completing further training. He started in orthopaedics on the wards within the NHS and in clinic working extensively with joint replacements, arthroscopic surgeries and less common procedures of the upper and lower limbs. Over this period he attended several courses and gained an AACP acupuncture qualification. In recent years he has completed modules towards a Masters degree in Advanced Clinical Practice for Musculoskeletal Management. This has led him to research planning, recognition from the Higher Education Academy and learning advanced techniques in assessment and treatment for all areas of the body. During this time he has been predominantly treating chronic pain complaints and university sport scholarship students with several competing at national or international level. He loves seeing clients achieve their rehabilitation goals, whether that be the stepping stones or the big ones. Ben likes to ensure an understanding of the big picture and an agreed treatment plan where a range of treatment methods are utilised to supplement rehab and exercise programmes.

Eileen Doody

Eileen Doody MIFA CST MCSS has been practising complementary therapies since 1994 and was previously based in Cork in the South of Ireland. She qualified in Aromatherapy with the London School of Aromatherapy and in CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. Eileen is also qualified in Reflexology, Reiki and Indian Head Massage. She is a member of the International Federation of Aromatherapists and the CranioSacral Society.

Linda Guy

Linda qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1997 working first in the NHS and then in private Practice. Before moving to Back in Action in 2020, she owned and managed her own successful practice called Orchard Physiotherapy Centre in Wrenthorpe, where she specialized in occupational rehabilitation and musculoskeletal injuries. The practice was built on the foundation of rehabilitation and held specialist classes for those with lower limb problems, and also clinical Pilates for spinal and general strength. She has a post graduate certificate in the management of sport injuries and master's level qualifications in muscle control (kinetic control) and sport injury screening and rehabilitation. Linda has taught clinical Pilates for 8 years, to support her clients return to function, more recently these have been on line. These skills together with her master's knowledge provide a range of rehabilitation options for clients. She has undertaken several courses in biomechanics and coaching for runners and she offers running assessments to help those after injury, or to teach runners skills which potentially improves their performance. Outside of work she enjoys running and supports the Wakefield Hospice 10ks runs. She loves gardening and walking her dog and has a love/hate relationship with golf.
