Carol Jean (Crane) Butler

Carol Jean (Crane) Butler graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Speech & Audiology, 1976. Over the past 30+ years she has worked w/ ages 3.5-adult as an athletic coach, special educator and in private practice as a Sensory Therapist. In 2001 Carol Jean became certified as a Berard AIT - Auditory Integration Training-Practitioner, Limerick, Ireland. She was certified in Irlen Eye Screenings in 2002, and has taken classes in Brain Gym, Music Together, The Horse Boy Method, Reike and Cranial Sacral Therapy. Ms. Butler established her private practice in 2002. She is itinerant with her work. She travels the east coast from Maine to South Carolina. She has also worked with clients in California, as well as the Middle East. Auditory Integration Training (AIT) is the main focus of her work. AIT is a 10-12 day music based intervention. AIT can be helpful for many learning & behavioral challenges: Autism, issues of Auditory Processing Dysfunction (APD), Sensory Integration Dysfunction (SID), ADHD/ADD, Obsessive Compulsive Behavior (OCB), speech & language delays, anxiety, temper management, and Dyslexia. She supplements AIT with a customized sensory/holistic program for each client. Ms. Butler primarily resides in Massachusetts.
