In 1988 I became a member of the Louisiana Bar Association after my tenure at Loyola Law School. I practiced law for several years, but felt a strong desire to devote my time and energy in assisting others in the pursuit of self-knowledge, growth and the alleviation of suffering. From there I attended Tulaneʼs graduate school of social work, receiving my Masterʼs degree in Clinical Social Work in 1992, with honors in research...
After graduating, I worked for LSU Health Science Center where I served as an assistant professor teaching psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers models of treatment and family mediation, as well as serving as the director of clinical services and providing supervision of students in all three disciplines. While at LSU's Health Science Center, I also taught many courses on psychotherapy, and family mediation.
